Would he ever get a chance to play for TFC? I am just wondering since no one really talks about him. I think during this season, he should have started couple of games so that TFC can rest Frei (at times during the season he looked tired).

He's there if Frei gets injured.

And in all sincerity, could someone with experience tell me how a keeper can get fatigued from a game? Does all that potential lateral movement, scrambling and diving add up to someone being too tired to play? As opposed to being banged up?

travel, training, games....etc etc. But mainly keepers are rested to allow minor injuries to heal and to prevent injuries prior to big games

That's always been my view as well. Edwards travels with the team so any "fatigue" incurred by Frei, Edwards is also subjected to. The backup keeper is really there only to replace the injured #1 or to play in meaningless games or opponents of much lower stature.

Edwards will get his chance. I like his play.
He's also very young by keeper age.

in 2007 we had no keeper depth. now we do... good thing to have.

Frei won't be here long term, he'll be too attractive to clubs in Europe. Edwards will get his chance if he toughs it out with TFC.

I think in watching Edwards, he is more of a pit bull, than Frei, While Frei is such a natural

Edwards is being kept around to assume the starters role when we sell Frei to Europe

if were out of the playoff race at the end of the month...play Edwards for the October part, but if were still in a playoff position stick with Frei

Frei or Edwards can't do much with 8 guys in front of them. Horrible display tonight.
