For a team that "can't afford to let more points slip away" we sure seem comfortable not playing our most effective striker.

It is extremely frustrating. It is so obvious to everyone except the people that make the call, I just don't get it.

I think Cummins is worried Danny will take his job next year - so he's doing everything to de-value him or make him quit (because otherwise it make no sence at all!)... but that's for a whole other chat / conspiracy theory thread...

i thinks its time we bombard cummins with the message

First of all, nobody knows for certain if it was Cummins that started this drama. Some have speculated it could be Cummins because he's the one talking to the media, but we just don't know. So while we can speculate about the issue, I doubt directing anything specific at Cummins will be productive.

The message that needs to be sent is one of appreciation to Danny. We hope your enthusiasm there be reflected in helping us get the TIFO going here:

Yes but last time I checked Cummins was the head coach and the way it usualy works is the head coach is the one who decides who goes on the field. Therefore, if a proven striker is not getting playing time then who do you think we are suppose to think is responsible for a certain player not seeing the field.

Oh crap.

We may have to reopen the Dichio thread.

Gawd...can't you people at TFC keep things in hand until the season ends? In the middle of a playoff run and you guys keep messing this up!

Fire the lot of'em.

I say let it get worse. If this situation exposes the issues with the club then it is a good thing. Playoff push or no playoff push, time for the truth of the matter to come out.

The club must hate it, but I am so glad there are reporters out there like Kristian Jack and John Molinaro who are doing their jobs.

We need to support these guys because standard MLSE practice will be to put pressure on them to sit on these things.

I just meant that the story isn't going to go away, no matter how much they don't want to deal with it.

I'm not implying anything sinister is going to happen and I wasn't issuing a veiled threat, so please don't start throwing around conspiracy theories and speculation.

Still working on this story,

John

I just dont get it...and John I presume you think this is important enough to pursue, and if its really that important and potentially damaging why would anyone speak to you about it on the record ? They are more likely to address internally then speak about it depending on what they do...this seems to me like a no win situation...

Wasn't trying to start up speculation - just trying to highlight the fact everything isn't ok in spite of the gesture of taking DD to Seattle.

I'm glad that people are keeping the story alive...the Dichio thread on this board was closed and I think the story stood a good chance of being swept under the rug (which is why I posted your tweet).

maybe its that certain player that has not earned the right to be on the field? or he just cant play 90 mins ( most likely the reason). Cummins is the manager who the squad, and has always picked the best possible, which on our team the talent is very thin on most days. What ever happens in Colorado win , lose or draw, Cummins has my support,
its up to the players to get the results.

the fans know the character of DD......I havnt heard this big bald f'er complain once about ..playing time...or being un happy at tfc....He's a LEADER though and through OUR LEADER!!!!!

I beleive cummins worst fear is to play dichio at this point!!! If Dichio comes in an scores a few and gets us a few wins....but we come short of the playoffs...people are gona ask.... where was he in the other games!

Come season end.....BMO FIELD is gona be a pleasant place to be on the 17th of october.....or ..........

Agreed. I dunno why exactly, but I always get a kick out of people airing their dirty laundry and seeing people's embarrassed faces afterwards. If this sorta thing can bring positive change to the organization in the long run, I say good.
