As of the end of the year.

Must be because their fans could think of good replacements.

The Red Bulls, known as the MetroStars (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/New+York+Red+Bulls) until 2006, have employed a league-record 11 coaches in 14 years.

That's what we would have, if the supporters ran TFC. Constant turnover of coaches, resulting in a garbage team.

Maybe he took a page from Beckham's book.

angel is good enough to still play in this league, on a good team, he would get goals

will Osorio get another chance to be a head coach again? I guess there's always second chances in MLS... but to have basically full control (along with Agoos, of course, but many of the guys he signed he also scouted in south america) and coach in a parity league that provides protection against dumb decisions, he has produced the worst team in MLS history. That's not good for the resume. I mean, even Mo Johnston, who people regarded as a bad coach in 2007, and who had no players at the start of the franchise, still got 25 points out of TFC that year.

I'm really surprised the Yallop hasn't been given the axe either.
both teams are just in the toilet this year.

Though this one in particular is needed they need to rebuild that Club from the ground up. Bring in some euro players that will appeal to the ethnic communities of NYC and Jersey. Or you know, any player at the same caliber of other MLS clubs

Are you serious? You're going to compare him to Mo?

Osorio has managerial experience in South America and experience at Citeh.

His MLS resume consists of taking Chicago from beneath us in the standings in 2007 and stepping in and taking them to the playoffs.

In 2008 he took the NYRB to the cup final.

Mo? He has zero managerial experience outside of MLS.

Well he coached 3 games in 2005 and a playoff game. Bob Bradley coach the majority of the year.
in 2006 he was fired a couple of months into the season.
in 2007 we were last and set a goal drought record.
Then he got promoted?!?

There is no comparison.

Look I really hoped people had actually taken the time to read the article, or the one in the Bergen Record. It highlights the difficulties and issues of having a guy that signs the players (agoos, mo) and a guy that has to deal with and coach someone elses signings (osorio, cummins)

Oh man, I'd take Angel in a heartbeat over any striker we have. Talk about completing our team with exactly what we need. A natural goal scorer.

umm, I said Mo Johnston never coached a team as badly as Osorio has in 2009.
I didn't compare Mo Johnston's whole career to Osorio's whole career.
You just wasted a whole lotta time with all your "research" there.. hahahah

oh, and by the way, here's some research on Mo Johnston and Juan Carlos Osorio's record in MLS league games:

Osorio --> 70 games, 18 wins, 31 losses, 21 ties --> He won 36% of all possible points he could get (75 pts of a possible 210)
Johnston --> 47 games, 11 wins, 21 loss, 15 ties --> He won 34% of all possible points he could get (48 pts of a possible 141).

So basically, the difference between Juan Carlos Osorio and Mo Johnston, in terms of league records -- the most objective way to compare coaches since playoffs are a smaller sample size -- is 1 win (3 pts). That is, if MoJo had earned 1 more win over those 47 games, he's got exactly the same points per match record as Osorio.

And yet Osorio had two DPs (Blanco and Angel)... I thought Mo Johnston was a shitty coach, but I still don't "get" the praise that Osorio gets. He barely made with the playoffs with both Chicago and NY, and then he tanked in the second season with NY. I would never hire Osorio.
