Tonight at Gillette Stadium....

1) FC Dallas vs Revs at 6.30pm
2) Brazil vs Venezuela at 8.30pm

http://www.revolutionsoccer.net/games/index.cfm?ac=gamedetails&eid=3006

Something tells me the Revs will get more than 8,000 people out to Foxboro tonight.

I'd be happy SUPER HAPPY! if we got a TFC and CMNT double header!
We could FINALLY give the CMNT some worthy crowd support.

Its not their national team though, just 2 random teams. I would much prefer a Canadian game then an international friendly.

Went into Craigslist to see if there are lots of tickets around for this (there are, at below face value)....and I tripped over this listing.

Now this is what being a supporter is all about!

funniest thing is they count these doubleheaders as mls attendance so they're gonna go from 2nd to last (10k or so average) to who knows where :D

I don't wish we had a double-header like this because i don't want to be normally in a half-empty 50,000 seat stadium.

Tickets for the pair of games started at $30 bucks. Not a bad deal.
Parking was $40 bucks. WoW.

if there were two games, would they continue to sell beer until the second game?

Do they want the Jamaica game to be like an away game, or against Honduras with fan support?
They might know what it's like to have some fan support! (Damn CSA)

Probably. Might stop for a little bit b/w games is my guess.

The sad part about this if you watched it on MLSlive is that two-thirds of fans didn't show up until the Revs game was almost over.

Yeesh.

^ I was thinking that would be the case, much like the FIFA U-20 tournament last year. If there was a match between two non-popular teams followed by a big name team, the big venues would be half empty for most of the first game. Same with the NCAA March Madness as well.

Which proves what a lot of people have said, that area has a lot of footy fans, they just are not Revs fans or MLS fans. Imagine if the Revs moved into a Boston stadium and signed Ronaldo and/or Ronaldinho. They'd sell out 25-30k every week.

Wait a second footyfan, if Brazil/Venezuela played at RFK after a DCU game, the exact same thing would happen (ie 20K for the DCU game, 57K for the Brazil game)

How does that prove anything? Any market in the world comparable to Boston in population should be ashamed if it fails to draw 25-30k fans every week if they signed Ronaldo and/or Ronaldinho.
