Not a Goats fan, but this is a great story:

CARSON, Calif. — To describe how Jorge Flores ended up here — an unknown teenager traveling to South America and Europe to play for his country after emerging quite literally from a cast of thousands to win a tryout with Chivas USA — a word is worth a thousand pictures.

I think you mean "Goal", not "Invincible"

I meant "Invincible," even though it is the other "football." I never saw "goal," although I understand it has a similar story-line. Good point, "Goal" it is!

No, you were right the first time; Invincible is about an open tryout winner, Goal is someone who got scouted, just like a normal player.

Goal was about an 18 year old Hispanic kid from LA who is half-heartedly given a tryout.....and makes the team against all odds

Invincible is about a 30 year old bartender who makes the team from an open tryout

I still say this story is closer to Goal :taz::taz::taz:
