Key game for us, because both LA and NE are in the hunt for play off spot.

A draw would be good for us

Friendlies once again causing trouble for an MLS team. And heck, even trouble for us as we need LA to win this one - or at least get a point.

Great news for us. This is a win for us as well. Now keep the lead, LA!

Dunno. We are competing against all teams who aren't in the top 2 of each conference. We might lose out on a playoff spot to LA in the end too...

Only draws really guarantee that we are ensuring there are less points out there, until we see the last few games of the season.

2-1 final in favour of the Galaxy.

This is a good result for us, right?

Beautiful! LA wins!

New England is now 3 points behind us with only 2 games in hand. Our goal score is +1 on them, so it's very, very tight. But tonight's result was definitely very helpful to us.

That was a pretty good game, actually.

Btw, anybody else notice that they're playing the Earthquakes - Crew game tonight in San Francisco?

Like it was highlighted above... this win is actually bad for us.

The top 2 teams in each conference plus the next best 4 in any conference make it.

With the win, LA pulls further ahead of us. The best result we can hope for is a draw in games like these.

Barcelona and Chivas (Mexico) are playing right after, so they needed the big stadium.

Yep- I know everybody wants to know who should win this game or that and who shouldn't- but there is only one answer each and every week: Toronto FC.

I still like that result. LA are looking really good lately and I can't see anything happening other than them pulling away and establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league by the end of the regular season.

true to an extent but NE need to take as few points off their games in hand as possible... we don't need another rival in the east.

Also, LA is going to win the MLS Cup I'm pretty sure, they're going to get past Seattle into that top 2 in the west anyway so when it happens is irrelevant to us. Seattle are less of a sure bet, and I hope their rough run of form recently continues.

As for the rest of tonight's results, I figure these would be best for us:

San Jose beats Columbus
Seattle draw with RSL
Chivas draw with Colorado

and tomorrow:

Houston beats Chicago
