sorry... I'm slow... but does this mean you can watch GOL in HD, on an HDTV, even if you aren't an HD subscriber?

In some ways I hope that all the carriers put GolTV HD and Leafs TV HD on the same channel.
Because I personally think that the HD Leafs TV is a waste, it is only used for games.
At least it would get more use with Leafs and TFC games in HD

Channel guide: Rogers 428, Bell 404, Starchoice 459, Cogeco 122.
High Definition freeview: Rogers 501, Shaw 318, Shaw Direct HD 267, Bell HD 390, Cogeco HD 734.

Flats, to watch the game in HD I think you require an HD box, along with the HDTV. :D

:) I assumed so... but I had to ask... I'm still one step behind the latest tech advancements.

Is Star choice the only one charging $6.99 for the HD broadcast? What about the other providers?

You need:
1) HDTV
2) HD Receiver from your cable subscriber

This is a one time thing, Gol does not currently have a dedicated HD channel.
Plans are in place for one in the near future, if the success seen from TFC this year continues.

i didn't say it wasn't.. i believe it to be true.
just found it funny that you had to put it in black and white for all to see... after all, you do have a rep to uphold.

enjoy the game tonight!

called Starchoice and they said it was some glitch in their system, yeah right. They have it at $6.99 on their channel and on their website. They say it's free. Ok, hopefully GolTV have all the cameras required to do a game. Regular games never have the right cameras and you are always missing the right views, eg. offside etc. We will see tonight, but it should be top notch as they are providing the feed around the world.

I hope it is permanent. I am so sick of watching the away games in grainy, normal, definition...
