The result also gives the Reds momentum heading into the second leg of the CONCACF Champions League's tie Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Islanders, who TFC trails 1-0 in the aggregate goals series.

Late goal gives Revolution draw with Toronto FC
AP
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Once its unprecedented stretch of not allowing a goal had ended, New England needed to get into the business of scoring one.
Edgaras Jankauskas stepped up just in time.
Aided by a man advantage throughout the final 40 minutes - and frustrated by missed opportunities that seemed to last almost just as long - the Revolution finally put one into the back of the net in the 76th minute Saturday night as Jankauskas secured a 1-1 tie with Toronto FC at Gillette Stadium.

No matter how many times I look at it, seeing Jeff Cunningham with four goals in one game just doesn't seem right.

Oh, and it looks like Cunningham is one of the best forwards in the MLS!! What is it about Toronto and athletes - we are like the Newcastle of the MLS... Players seem to come here and die if they are not from here... I'm not sure what the deal is!

Ha, ha, Dallas loses Kenny Cooper, but not to worry! All of the sudden Cunningham becomes Cooper-esque in his scoring ability. Typical....

Once again we are in a place that we have to hope we don't screw up much more, but hope other sides screw up big time...

Here's is hoping for a stronger coaching staff, and team building this winter... because this is going to be close... on the verge of loosing out on the play offs and the CCL

at least this tie keeps us on that edge, instead of off it.

Yep, I think a loss yesterday would have put the rest of the season in serious doubt, if not statistically, then mentally.

No doubt. They got hammered yesterday so they will be looking to get some points from us. It's going to be a brutal match.

Cunningham getting four in one game is wrong on so many levels!

He could have had five except that he was offside on what would have been his first. He was so mentally out to lunch on that play though. He was clearly in an offside position but was concentrating so much on the ball carrier, he was trapped off by at least two yards.

It actually should have been two. He scored on a penalty that should NEVER have been called and his fourth was a fluke when Hartman flubbed a low shot and it trickled in.

That said, he looked dangerous and worked hard.
