Well, another game on the road, and this one is a 6 pointer.

Definitely need 3 points if we're going to stay in the playoff race, and keep the Revs down, since they have 3 games in hand.

But, away game plus turf means it's going to be tough as hell.

Ughhhhhh fuck turf ... we never play well on turf ... always blast everything over the bar ... BMO better have grass next year :(

We should rest all the starters we can for this, second game vs PR is on Tuesday..

something a long the lines of

------- Edwards
Wynn Velez Gomez Brennan
----Cronin -- Robo
---Barret Gala Ibrahim
--------White

BTW we need more players :(

That looks more of a lineup they will field against Real Madrid, not against New England.

^ Yes, play against Real Madrid please. Please. I do not want to see one starter play more then a half for that game. That would make me happy.

this is a critical 6 pointer game, and you want to start Gala Ibby and White?

Looking at what NE may play, will dictate hopefully what Toronto should play.

-----------Reis-------------
Alston--Osei--Barnes--Heaps
-----Joseph-Larentowiz-----
Mansally--- Ralston---Nyassi
------------Dube----------

Similiar to Toronto's formation. Their backline could be ripe for a guy like Gerba and Dichio, as both Osei and Barnes I think can be pushed around a bit. The midfield is where the game will be won or lost......Joseph is a beast, and so is Larentowiz.

More Gomez at the back hopefully. Nana, Guevara and Serioux still out I take it? :(

We need people rested and ready to play in humidity and heat in PR. We have to win that game at any cost.. this will just be another road loss/tie. As far as I am concerned we should have used this lineup in Columbus as well (Guevara would have been on the field yesterday then).

Benefit of getting to CONCACAF grp stage is greater then 1 league game. If that Gambian kid can play use him instead of someone too, not sure if he can play on the wing? Maybe let Barret rest

I don't think you are alone.

Both competitions are important. If players need rest, then Winsper hasn't been doing his job (I don't believe this is true tho). They should be able to handle the workload. They can rest after the PR game.

No, I do as well. I also think we have a more decent shot at the playoffs than at getting anywhere significant with the CCL.

That said, after seeing the last two matches, I'm nervous as fuck for the Revs game.

not happy that Shalrie Joseph and Jankauskas might see some action as 2nd half subs. Those guys have potential to be impact subs, and the Revs play better in 2nd half than 1st

Neeeeeed 3 pts.....

Probably will end up a 1-1 tie, but they should field a strong team. Serioux looked ready to play Wednesday, so he should be good to go. Guevarra should be back too. With these two back they can afford to rest some players and still have a great shot at winning both games.

This game is MASSIVE in MLS standings though. Does anyone know if the team has a direction, like should they go for the MLS playoffs or the CCL?

I seriously worry about this game. We've never picked up points in Boston, and now we find ourselves in a situation where it's either 3 points or bust. 11 games to go this season, and we're already with our backs against the wall? What the hell went wrong?

Oh well. Hope the team is motivated to go out there and give it their all.

For some reason I just rooted for TFC from game 1. I'm sort of the Anti-Archer.

I really wanted to see Dichio start tonight. In his brief appearances in games of late he has been a monster but in my mind he is being underused....

Its important of course- and if we lay an egg it doesn't bode well for our playoff push. Especially as we have a majority of road games left in the season.

But lets remember this is MLS. We missed the playoffs by about 4 points last season, and do you remember going winless for 2 months? Any kind of winning streak puts a team right at the of the standings.

Again, I am not saying that winding up with a three game winless streak (four in all competitions) after tonight is alright, just that its over reaching to call this a must win.

just talked to Rogers because GolTv has always been choppy with bad sound and they had to have a technician booked in to come to my house and do service on my cable to fix the issue...so basically I will be watching the game on a shitty feed tonight.

What formation are we gonna see tonight?

I'd like to see:

---------------------Frei---------------------

Wynne--------Garcia------Gomez----Serioux--

-------------------Cronin--------------------

------Barrett-------Guevara--------Vitti-------

-------------DeRosario-------------------------

-----------------------Gerba-------------------

I think this would put NE on the defensive immediately and hopefully TFC can dictate the pace of the game from there.

ps....DeRo can wear the armband :)

This also screams of playing for a draw. I would imagine that, under this formation, Barrett would be expected to track back more than usual.
