I know this is in today's TFC news thread but thought it was worth a thread by itself.
Would it be worth looking at bringing Cooke in here ?.

Yes, as long as he doesn't expect too much salary-wise.

sooner see us strengthen defence before we look at any more attacking midfielders. He's not a bad player but we already have enough cover in right MF.

Never really focused on Cooke during our games with Colarado so I can' t say much about him but with his numbers being something like 4 goals and 34 assists in 109 games I don't think he'd be much of an improvement over having Barrett play RW.

Its obvious this team lacks depth so I think it would be a good addition. It all depends if he can fit under the cap, otherwise I'm sure another MLS team will pick him up.

Agreed. We could fill open spots on the roster with worse(and have).

He has 11 assists in 08 and 10 assists in 07.

Lacks pace, but intelligent player with wicked cross. Think English version of Dave van den Bergh

Agree.. we definitely need to bulk that area up before looking up front.

I rate ven den Bergh. So assuming your comparison is accurate, I take a look at him for the right money.

Late in the season + not had enough action to be match fit + High salary $187,500 = Not in the cards.

he's been released from his contract, so he'd have to renegotiate any new contract

What a tremendous idea ... they did not release a player months before signing his replacement! Who would have thunk that could be possible.
