I feel that if Cummins does not work out this season, we should look to add Hart as the new Manager if Canada does not select him. He does an excellent job of getting the most out of his players and playing towards his players skill set (instead of forcing a system on them that may not work ala Dale Mitchell).

He definately have the backing of the Canadian players....which says alot

I like the ideal but give CC some time, i think the TFC coaching staff have a good plan in place so lets see what happens.

As far as Hart is concerned, there should be no debate he is the man for the job come next world cup qualifing.....unless the CSA finally decides to spend some $$$ on a big name coach!

Good idea, but I'm still very undecided about Cummins. He did win us the Canadian Championship, and results have been pretty good with him at the helm. The team seems to gel better, and he certainly appears to command the respect from the team as well. I like his personality and he handles the media like few others. Cummins should stay in my opinion.

I agree crozack, just throwing Hart's name out in case he is jobbed and things don't do well. I am happy with the team right now, yes they have work to do, but hopefully with the addition of Gerba/White coming back, we'll have enough options to make the playoffs.

We need Steven Hart to continue as technical director with the CSA.

If we ever hope to consistently develop top level players in Canada we have to have a talented individual like Steven Hart leading the way.

I agree.....as much as I love him as a coach. He cannot do both jobs as the technical director and the coach. Something has to give.

He seems to be the only sane body at the CSA...so I say keep him as the technical director.

The playoffs are a good indicator for Cummins. If we make it, Cummins stays. If we crash and burn, Cummins goes. Anything in the middle is up for dispute (i.e. missing out on the final spot by a slim margin)

Cummins needs to be given AT LEAST another year...he's done quite well, and remember he's also learning the ropes as he goes.

I have to agree here. I think he'd do better as the technical director than as a coach. And ya, he's the only sane body at the CSA...

Not really, he was here last year as Carvers assistant. He knows how things go.

Regardless, I think Dasovic is doing well under Cummins and Carver before him. I do think that Lumniatis should be named as part of the coaching staff for the CMNT. He's probably one of the few Canadians there (which seems to be the requirement there) with international experience, albeit not extensive. He proved that he is able to compete with next to little resources.
I don't think he should be named the CMNT head coach though...

I'd love to see TFC, the next time they wear the pinks, actually come out for warm-up to Bret Hart's old entrance music

That would be classic!

110% disagree...Stephen Hart is an incredible Technical Director, very important in continuing the development of young canadians. I have national interests as well as TFC interests, and it would be a massive step backwards to lose Hart as the TD for Canada and I would support the signing of Hart as TFC's manager

I can think of a few Central American refs that need a sharpshooter applied.
