Despite playing well, Toronto is still in a dogfight for a playoff spot. DC has a game in hand and is one point behind us. A loss for us and any result for the teams behind us this weekend and all of sudden we drop to 9th. The Aug home game against DC will be huge. And TFC need to keep up the pressure.

It certainly makes for nervous and exciting times! There is no more waiting for results, I am happy Barrett has found a scoring touch the last few games but that needs to keep up. There is no room for letting up right now.

I think we can write off SJ, NY and Dallas. Though stranger things have happened in MLS.

Watch for NE to make a move. With their players coming back from injury list and int call ups, they will try to use their games in hand for advantage. Their new signing Jankauskas already netted a goal. Saw him play vs Chi on Wed and he looked good.

I think LAG will make the playoffs. Squad suddenly looks very good with Becks returning, and they have quality depth players coming off the bench

I don't buy the desperation for a playoff spot.I want them to finish their best but their playoff position isn't my concern. I'm just as interested in Toronto's results now as the start of the season.

BTW-Love the single table.

4th place in the East after tonight (if Chicago ties or wins, I think the other 2 games are basically over)......yikes!!!

Playoff spot means:

a) more games
b) the team finishes at least 8th out of 13

A non playoff spot means:

a) no more games
b) the team finishes 9th or below...which means we still suck

Therefore, playoffs means progress and more soccer. There is nothing to debate about...playoffs are a must or this team has no progressed enough.

By not picking up these vital points at home.....we are in tough to make the playoffs..IT gona go right to the wire!

These road games will make or break us!.....TOugh times ahead!

That webpage hasn't been updated with yesterday's games. We're actually in the 8th and final spot, two points up on 9th place Colorado.

Four points separating second from ninth, LOL. No wonder you can't play MLS on Pro Line, who would be crazy enough to?

Why isn't it broke down by conference? Are the conferences combined when it comes to who gets in the playoffs?

most of the teams below us have games at hand too...this is going to be tough if we keep dropping points at home.
