NY's best home attendance falls under 15K so far this year (best numbers are for Saturday games). They played San Jose in front of slightly more than 8K (on a Friday night).

Sunday games draw around the 10K mark.

With this being a televised Thursday game, and the shine mostly lost from the Beckham penny, I'd say a crowd of 10-12K may show up.

Which leads to the question, why the hell they aren't carrying other out of market games in MLS?

I think they announced to next year, but considering no on else does why couldnt they start this year.

Wow! I don't know if any of you were watching the stream. That dude that wrote the Beckham Experiment book. He's everywhere - he was on PTI this afternoon and on the pre-game here self-promoting his book and offering up some juicy gossip on the flip of a coin. Must say he's got great PR, and took advantage of a great opportunity called The Beckham Circus.

You know if you ran on the field and pulled down Beckham's shorts - you'd be famous forever with this dude.
