The question is... once he closes the door... how soon before he can be involved as part of the coaching/training staff with TFC?

and... will he be TFC BOSS one day?

FAIL!

Harry (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001099/): What's her last name? I'll look it up.
Lloyd (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000120/): You know, I don't really recall. Starts with an S! Let's see. Swim? Swammi? Slippy? Slappy? Swenson? Swanson? Swanson!
Harry (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001099/): Maybe it's on the briefcase.
Lloyd (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000120/): Oh, yeah! It's right here.... Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S, though.

Man I hope Dichio plays on next season, he's still our most effective forward and used carefully I'd hope he could do well for one more season.

Part of me want him to retire on a high note. I would hate to see him play another season and go through one injury after another, and maybe score no goals at all. Having said that, it'll be hard to see him go.

i'd like to see him stick around as a cheap backup if he feels his body is taking too much of a beating. pay him 70-80K, assume he's there for when Gerba or whoever is injured.
he could still be a useful player in 2010 and even 2011. 70K-80K would be nothing against the cap, but still pay the bills of all his kids!

^^ Or just re-sign him as a player/coach and only use him when needed. ;)

I dunno... looks like TFC is moving away from long ball tactics, and Dichio really haven't been that effective lately against MLS opposition.
Just doesn't seems to be getting on many headers or flick ons like he used to. (Revs game being an exception)

ive been saying this, i love the man and hes done alot for us (previously and this season) and he has been our best striker this season (which isnt saying much) but im not entirely sure hes got alot left in him

I really notice a difference between when he starts and when he comes off the bench.

I don't know if it's just it takes him time to get in the game, or if Cummins and co can figure out which teams he'll be effective against and only start him in those games, but all the times he's dominated or at the very least been a handful for the defence it's when he started.

I used to think he'd be a great sub to bring on and cause havoc, but he never seems to do it.

Still, I'd love to see him stay another year and morph into a coaching role.

Something I'd never really thought of, but how would a player manager/coach work with the salary cap? Could we pay someone like Dichio or Robinson a bunch of money but only have a portion of it count against the cap as a player salary?

Daro I've been trying to figure that out for ages. RSL did it with one of their coaches I think?

Let's put it this way....expect BIG changes at the academy next season and a certain tall bald Anglo-Italian ex-striker playing a large role in the newly formatted program.
