...but don't get too excited. Carver is doing the CSA a favour as he rehabilitates his injury. Aside from that, good to see cooperation between TFC and the national team. As the first Canadian club in MLS, we have the opportunity to monopolize these resources and use this relationship to our advantage.

As it stands right now he'd be available on a free next June. He'd be worth a DP.

Fuck, the title of this thread just tripped me out! Oh well, maybe this will help TFC land JDG down the road...

I'm not teasing. Merely pointing out he has one year left on his deal at Depor. Also I was stating my opinion that he'd be worth a DP.

Honestly though, for the sake of the NT I'd rather see him step up a level and wind up at a Spanish team like Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Villareal or Sevilla.

He is getting older, he will be 28 when his contract is up next year. I would like to see him at another big time team in Europe, but wouldn't complain if he came here.

28 means he has 4 years of elite-level play left in him. After that he'd probably be something for TFC to consider.

He'd have to come over on trial first though

Haha good one the guy could be manager if he wanted to screw the trial also he was depor's MVP so there is no chance they'll let him go for free

Plus, he's said he wants to play in Spain as long as possible.
So he'd be 29 for the World Cup, but he would still be a huge threat.
JDG might come over at 31-32, but he won't come over in his prime. Even then he'd be worth a DP slot.

Ok, put the "future possibilities" of him coming to TFC aside. I like Carver's approach to helping out the CSA. We have the resources here and why not use them?

Plus, JDG gets a look at what type of ship we are running, when else would we have got him in the building?

if we can get Julian when he's 31 I'd be happy with that.
