Canada facing many obstacles at CONCACAF Gold Cup
CBC.ca
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Stephen Hart could find himself in the role of motivational speaker along with that of interim manager of the Canadian men's soccer team. The Trinidad and Tobago native — disappointed by the absence of some key players — will look to get the most out of his squad as it looks to rebuild at this month's CONCACAF Gold Cup in the U.S.
"Am I frustrated? Not really, but there's not much I can do as people have general reasons why they don't want to be there," said Hart, who replaced Dale Mitchell in April after a disastrous 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.

A confidence booster
Ryan Johnston
Much ink has been spilled over the lack of logic surrounding the FIFA world rankings.
To be honest, top spot excluded, I might be more inclined to accept arranging the countries from tallest to shortest over the current Will Hunting mathematics we accept as FIFA-ct. But I am sure that is why I ended up solving sentences over equations for a living.

Now it is up to Stephan Hart's Gold Cup squad to punch holes in the lack of logic.

Ok guys lay off. I think we all know Shaughno is making his point about the legal problems of the Sounders, not about the attack. Granted, not the most judicious use of the emoticon, but we're also not dumb enough not to understand his point.
