Citizen Kane is a great movie.

Thrilled to see Vitti get the monkey off his back tonight - Cepero played that ball horribly.

Great to see him finally score, however, he still blew a huge breakaway soon after his goal... Personally, I seriously doubt he'll be here after loan is done.

i've been saying that for how long now? amado and vitti have meshed together for awhile no, vitti is great at bringing the ball up and holding onto it with flair that this team hasnt seen before. the downside is that he's had a problem netting it.

Good players take advantage of their good luck. Which he did tonight..

I think Pablo missed the ball coming down, but he got a turf bounce that fooled Cepero (no way that ball has that action back towards him on grass)...and he coolly finished.

If he was only making $100k it would be a different story, though.

With him eating up so much salary cap space, it might not be enough to save him.

A game winning goal and 3 assists in 2 games. Get off the Barrett bashing bandwagon.

Congrats to Vitti!! Great to see him get the monkey off his back. Hopefully this is the begining of the flood gates opening for him. I hope he stays around this year and hopefully next year, I really likes what he brings to the team. I also agree with the comment that he gels good with Guevarra and DeRo. More time together and all three of them might be scoring goals at will.

Again - glad to see him score, but I still don't think what he has brought to this team so far, is worth $300K.

If we can sign him next season at a lower figure, then by all means keep him

One of the best TFC celebrations I've seen... why? Because it was very relative to what he's been going through...

Dusting himself off... very nice.

We had the same number of goals for TFC for so long, and now he has one more than me!!!

Seriously, can we stop bashing him? Just for a few games? He has 3 assists in the last 2 games (And a tournament winning goal, but you know, who counts those?). Did you not notice his perfect fucking service to DeRo tonight for the goal?

All three of our starting strikers were involved in goals last night, just be happy! Honestly, this continued nonsensical bashing is pissing me off.

Happy contentedness got us in the mess we've been in these past 2 yrs....

Once enough people speak up and bash the reasons for clubs struggles management seems to act and fix the teams problems (see post-Vancouver loss - releasing bums, bringing in Garcia, Signing Gerba)

C'mon man get with the program,
There's no room for Barrett on this club once OBW + Gerba are good to go, and depending on what other players are brought in there might not be room for Vitti

i doubt it.

the fans didn't have to tell Cummins what was wrong with the team.

i doubt it.

the fans didn't have to tell Cummins what was wrong with the team.

Who said anything about Cummins?

Mo's the one who makes the roster moves...

Fan Protest + Very vocal critique of the situation by fans, which spilled over into media, hence, putting pressure on Mo to be proactive in doing something,
...which he did almost immediately w/ the Garcia moves, then the releasing of guys...etc

On a side note/ getting back to the Vitti topic,
Peep out the Toronto FC TV interview w/ Vitti...

My question: Did they edit that segment (and there was a translator)? or does he fully understand English, just has difficulties speaking it?

Im glad the header went in becuase if it didn't we would probably be asking to get his mop cut ala dichio style..
Never been a believer of vitti but if he can take a pay cut to stay in toronto then so be it otherwise i still think were paying to much for too little.

I doubt very much we'll keep him. He went to independiente to be their number 10 and it didn't work out, so he's probably on a much higher contract than the $300,000 we're picking up under the cap. It's quite normal for borrowing clubs not to pick up the entire wage.

And while that deal may well be done soon, and he knows he won't get it again, he can still get much more money overseas. You don't think a Norwegian or Swedish team would sign him? I sure do, particularly if he starts scoring here.

EDIT: Oh, and he Facebook'd about two weeks ago on how much he missed his girlfriend in Argentina.

dude makes $300,000... Figure he would fork out whatev to bring his GF over...

Frei's getting just over 1/3 of that, and he brought his GF to Toronto w/ him from Cal... and she's University Educated from Berkley (meaning higher job-finding/earnings potential she passed up)...

Not saying, I'm Just saying

Dunno what Pablo's girlfriend does, but more than likely, his journeyman lifestyle the past few seasons have probably helped them decide moving her around on her own is probably not a good idea.

Didn't he come to us from Ukraine, his last stop? There is no way any Argentinian wants to spend time there.

If he catches some momentume the last half of the season and they do make his contract permanent here, then I would guess they may consider it. But if he is just stopping here for a while and then moving on again, what is the point?

With Frei, he's here a good 2 or 3 seasons I would think, so it made more sense.

I would take Pablo aside and say "dude, you're only 23! don't settle for a girl now! lots of fish in the sea! you'll be a different person at age 30 anyways, and so will she! wait to get serious!"
