View Full Version : Why can't I print my tickets less than 2 hours before the game?

I'm sitting here at work getting ready to go and I want to print off my ticket for the game.

But wait, I can't!

Why not?

Seems silly to me. Oh well, I guess I'll have to swing by my house now and pick up the hard copy ticket.

Next time I guess I'll have to print it earlier in the day, but it seems like a dumb restriction.

See you all down there!

Goto the box office and let them know. They'll work it out for you. No need to go home.

Can you do that without a prearranged will call?

Can't you just forward it to an e-mail account and print it from there? Hotmail or whatever.

Really? No forwarding either? I guess it's to create a cut off deadline to upload the information to the scanners whether or not to accept the real tickets or the print outs or forwards, cos once you print or forward the real ones will no longer scan according to the blurb on account manager.

Probably because it changes the barcode which is to be accepted at the gates when you print it. Something they need to put a time limit on to ensure that any printed ticket is accepted at the gates.

This must be the reason, since the gates open 2 hrs before kick-off.

Shouldn't be a problem though... my friend lost my extra ticket on the way to the season opener - which should not have happened since BMO is 800m linear distance from my house - and we got another printeed at the box office/will call window before anything got under way.

I always print my tickets within 2 hours, you only cannot sell or forward within 2 hours

I asked my ticket rep about this last year.

He said it was an internet delay thing. That it gave email hosts like hotmail, yahoo etc a two hour window to approve the email as not junk mail, or for it to get through the system and to you inbox in time to print them before game time.

That's his excuse. Not sure if its the real deal though.

I forgot to print my tickets, when I called my buddy and asked him to do so, he couldn't find the tickets to the game (it was 2 hours before the game). Anyways I had them printed out for a fee at BMO field, 5 bucks I think.
