We know CBC wouldn't fork the cash to put Nigel and Jason on planes and up in hotels to cover the CCL last year?

How much better do you think Sportsnet's coverage is going to be?

I get the feeling that they will travel and call the game like they have for away league games.

Are you sure Sportsnet even has the rights for these games?

I believe CBC cancel their CCL & NCC rights and Sportsnet picked up both of those rights.

CBC thinks it's illegal to send Nigel and Jason outside of Toronto and Montreal. They must be in a financial shithole if they called some Impact HOME games in Toronto.

I think they have the rights though. They only said there were cutbacks and not drops in rights altogether.

CBC may be cheap, but Sportsnet's broadcasts always seem cheaper to me. Unless a huge ratings draw is expected, I doubt Gerry and Craig will travel more than a few hundred kilometres from Toronto.

Sportsnet won't send Gerry and Craig to Mexico or Costa Rica to cover important WCQ games, so why would they send them down to P.R. Chances are they will call the game in studio like CBC did last year.

I don't remember hearing about them getting the CONCACAF Champions League. You sure you're not confusing that with the UEFA CL, which Setanta and Sportsnet will be splitting in the coming year?

At least CBC got the home games in hi-definition. Rogers only doles out the HD for NHL, MLB and the Memorial Cup

Nah. I'm pretty sure they'll be sitting in Forrest's basement and broadcast away games like they always do.

i thought this thread title was about a guy named Will Gerry and a guy named Craig Travel. The capitals and the lack of a question mark threw me off.

There is something worse, a game not being called at all. ;)
