So, we're gonna face Puerto Rico Islanders on July 28 and Aug. 4. If we win that, we will be in a group with Columbus Crew, Saprissa, and most likely Cruz Azul.

That's going to be a tough series with the Islanders -- they're no pushovers.

Somehow they did quite well last year. I think they went as far as Montreal, if not further. As Montreal and Vancouver have shown us in the past, we can't take USL opposition lightly. After a win like tonight though, I believe we can do it!

Hopefully we take our chances in the 1st leg ... need to do better then a 1-0 win ... I'm optimistic ... by then we'll have Gerba starting instead of Barrett :D

They got to the semis. Not going to be easy, but win or lose, I'll be there.

You know who I'm most happy for... as silly as it is... I'm happy for O'Brian White, he should get a chance to have some minutes playing in an international competition for the club. But I'm said that Rohan was let go, yesterday and not tomorrow, would have been nice to have him be apart of this win.

Kaz, you'll get over it when Julian De Guzman is part of our group stage wins.

All kidding aside, Puerto Rico will be a tough out. Doable, but not easy. Can't let tonight's result against Montreal's third-string starters go to our heads.

I just think it would have been a nice parting gift. :)

Maybe we can drop off Velez back to his former team while we're there.

MLS All-Star game is July 29th... we better have everyone available for that game, and not miss it for that mid-season exhibition.

I'm thinking that DeRo & Onstad came in on the All-Star game last year because Houston had a game vs DC the night before.

so i'm expecting to see all the Whitecaps and Impact fans support us in our run in the champions league cuz it's "good for canadian soccer". hahaha. I don't really believe that but i remember a big argument last year about how we were supposed to support Montreal's run. i'm sure they'll be hatin the Big Bad MLS Team and rooting for our losses.
