OF all the sporting events that had a 3-1 comeback or a "miracle on ice" kinda story line

of all the previous sports or teams you have given your heart to, where would a 4 goal win in MTL tonight rank against the best???

MONTREAL MIRACLE you have one believer here

It would be awesome, but to be honest I've yet to think of a scenario that tops Dichio's first goal...

Oh and for shits and giggles...

SERENITY NOW SERENITY NOWWWWWW!!!!

Frank would rank this as high as anything minus the 1992-1993 world series, this is a big one, the celebration that would follow if it comes through will be one for the books

QFT you can't compare anything to that. A miracle tonight would create its own legend

Agreed, thinking about it at this point in time. It would be cool, when it happens the real passion takes over.

If we can pull it off, it certainly would become a moment to remember.

Probably right below the Leafs pulling off a comeback from down 3-2 in the series against Ottawa in 2002, Grosso's winner in extra time against Germany and Grosso's winning penalty against France. :D It'd be pretty damn enjoyable though, that's for sure. I wouldn't sleep tonight if we managed it.

The Leafs winning the Stanley Cup next year.

...and just as likely.

it would rank up there in terms of shock.... kinda like watching hal gill hoist the stanley cup! not likely, buuuuuut could happen... wait .. he did what?

it would rank as "legendary". especially since it's going to be for the win.

Won't rank as anything if we don't win the Champions League this year.

Would be the biggest game in our franchise history and aside from winning the MLS Cup would be damn near impossible to top.

Win by 4 againist Montreal (who we all know is our real rival, not Columbus) in Montreal with Vancouver watching in the stands waiting to accept the trophy.

I can't see how that would be topped. Unless we needed 5 and did it.

As a Darlington fan, 2 games come to mind.

92-93, season after 10 games we've got 0 wins, 3 points and only 7 goals. We play Colchester on a rainy Tuesday night, attendance is a feeble even by Darlo's standards 1,299. We score after 30 seconds, and we're all thinking, oh crap we've got to hold on to this for 89 minutes. Sure enough they equalise, but then we score again, and again, and end up winning 7-3. And this was back at our old stadium where you could swap ends at half time, so all 7 goals scored right in front of me.

For sheer one off, where the fuck did that come from, unpredictable joy, that's hard to beat.

May 4 1990, at Welling, last game of the season, we need a draw to win the league and get promotion back to league football, it's 0-0 and kinda nervy until Gary Coatsworth's looping header in the 87th minute wins it.

The celebratory pitch invasion after the game, and running into people who were at Scunthorpe a year ago when we got relegated were great as rewards for sticking with it through the crap.

Winning by 4 tonight would be a very nice combination of those two.

It would erase my recent memory of the vancouver game...bloody miracle is needed tonight!

What if Dichio scores all 4 in a 4-0 win? would we name the south end after him?

montreal should be forced to rename their stadium after him if that happens.

How many times have we won by 4 previously.

It would rank up there with the miracles at Fatima and Lourdes.

i was just telling a friend at the game on saturday that the south stand would be the "Dichio stand" within 10 years... 4 goals tonight would certainly speed that up!

It wouldn't be a miracle, Mtl is shorthanded & shit. If we apply ourselves properly & the right tactic/players are applied it's doable.

It'll be a real test of coaching, player application & character. Should tell us what we need to know about certain players

I'll be cheering for the boys, I can't help myself, I bleed red too, but....

Am I the only diehard TFC fan who thinks that getting through tonight wouldn't be that satisfying?

We'd be beating up on an inferior team, one that is sitting the core of its lineup, who has nothing but pride at stake (and not much at that, you could construct arguments as to why the Impact players just won't care - they play Saturday, they have injuries to worry about, etc).

I guess I'd really rather go through the front door. So for me, I wouldn't rank this as highly as others might.

It would rank up their with Italy winning the world cup in 2006, the Leafs beating Detroit in the 1993 playoffs.

Absolutely, epic, legendary if the lads pull this one off. I will never doubt them ever again Mo included

This is a huge test…beyond the outcome. Massive for all the reasons bobbybhoy mentions above.

Of course a victory would be fantastic but in many ways the result, for me, isn't as important as seeing how this mob reacts.

A win would be as big as our first ever victory.

This is treading some dangerous waters.

4-0 would be wonderful.

But winning 3-0 would be devastating.

South end should already be named after Danny.

He scored the first goal facing it ffs!
And the south end has sung his name ever since.

EVER SINCE.

We have known for a long time that our line up is top heavy with attacking midfielder so maybe having to go out all guns blazing will be a good thing for TFC...

But then again with our defence so far this season maybe not, either way it should be entertaining !!!

wha wha what???

should it be satisfying for Vancouver, who basically get in on goal diff if TFC wins 1-0?

to get 9 points and score the most goals in the tourney (which is what would happen if TFC gets 4 clear goals) would be a MASSIVE accomplishment.

Everyone wants to talk about how great these USL teams are, so finishing above them means a lot.

Actually beating Montreal wouldn't be out of the ordinary and shouldn't be seen as anything weak. Montreal lost twice to Vancouver too. Montreal hasn't scored a goal yet.

I guess your expectations are to blast through the tourney, destroying everyone? wow that's high expectations!

Because we have no hardware yet it would be tied with Carters homer
right behind nikolai borschevsky OT goal against Detroit!

Can still see Papineau freaking out with the water bottle on the bench

I wanted the result from the head to head games, which ended tied on points, advantage Vancouver on goal differential

I really have no idea who would think that beating USL teams would mean much of anything.

But if I was a Whitecaps supporter, I'd be incandescent right now. They were screwed.

True, but at the moment, I couldn't give less of a [rude word]. The Limpact got luckier than a prolific porn star last year, justice served.
