Call me crazy, but at 2-0 this is still a somewhat mediocre performance overall.

The first few minutes were inspiring, but its chance after chance with no finish. Its a lot like having a trophy wife, who does not put out.

It certainly looked that way when he was up against Angel. Good positioning though. He's been all over the ball and he's had a couple of excellent blocked shots. I only noticed one mistake but, overall, not a bad first half for a guy who has only been practicing with the squad for two days.

I feel bad for Vitti I personally think he was fouled there, the keeper shot out his leg and only caught Vitti missed the ball entirely. other wise it woulda been Vitti's goal. Nice job by DD though :D

Leave it to me to point out the one cloud in the sky so far: the stadium is much less full than usual. But of course, this is because this is a match that was brought forward by two months so plans conflict. It's just unfortunate is all.

Some observations:

- I also knew that penalty would have been saved/missed but I'm glad Cunningham wasn't counted on to get the rebound.

- I'm really happy that Vitti played on when the handball call was made. Yes, he appealed to the referee but did so while continuing to play as opposed to stopping and just begging the referee for a call. Sad thing to have to compliment, but it happens way too much in football.

- Really confused by the referee: the first 20-25 minutes, he was allowing physical play to take place and after that just changed his mind and started calling fouls and pulling out the cards.

- Rojas is a diving cunt. It felt good when he got bodychecked. He even had the gall to want a foul when he just ran into Attakora standing there.

- When Serioux got his card for fouling that NY guy near the end of the first half, the NY player made the "give him a card motion" which should have got him booked.

Perhaps we play different types of football. The kind I play, getting to the 18, passing it around and then losing the ball without a strike at goal does not win you games. Both goals scored, should have been scored first time, and were somewhat sloppy. Penalties are meant to be buried, and Vitti needs to score.. End of story. The only glaring chance missed was Vitti's, You are correct... except there was no reason that should have been the only glaring chance.. take the shot, Quit passing it up...

2-0 is a great a result, but as you see when you sit back and play 'pretty football' the scoreline ends up 2-1
