So the ticket prices for the Real Madrid game come out today.

Let's play a little game.

Predict the cost of the ticket to see Real Madrid in all the areas.

The original prices are the printed cost of an international friendly.

Area ----- original price ----- RM price
Club ----- $176 ------ $199
Red ----- $140 ----- $187
Dark Grey -----$110 -----$180
Medium Grey ---- $70 -----$165
Light Grey ----- $50 ----- $150
Yellow ----- $46 ----- $138

that's before the "loyalty" pricing

^ if you're wrong, will you state that you were wrong about the pricing?

(not that I think you'll be wrong, but they might surprise us)

* just because I don't think the numbers add up. They will be charging a much higher markup on the expensive seats.
There's no way they'd up the light grays 300% and only up the reds by $20

I'm thinking at least 25% + Rounding across the board:

Area ----- original price ----- RM price
Club ----- $176 ------ $220
Red ----- $140 ----- $175
Dark Grey -----$110 -----$150
Medium Grey ---- $70 -----$90
Light Grey ----- $50 ----- $65
Yellow ----- $46 ----- $60

Club ----- $176 ------ $350
Red ----- $140 ----- $300
Dark Grey -----$110 -----$250
Medium Grey ---- $70 -----$200
Light Grey ----- $50 ----- $175
Yellow ----- $46 ----- $150

Thats per seat

I think for the grass alone is a 12.50$ mark up per seat

That's about right ... $12.50 x 20,000 seats = $250,000 it will cost to lay TEMPORARY grass.

Rumour has it that the CHEAPEST tickets will be 160.00

Then let the revolution begin. Let them eat cake, we deserve butter or some other food related slogan.

I get the feeling they're waiting on news about kaka. Rumour has it around 5pm (11pm in europe), he's set to announce his departure from milan to real madrid. Maybe this announcement affects how much tfc charges? Or maybe they want to coincide the press release with kaka's news? That way they can further justify ripping all of us off.

I think you have it backwards - Kaka was waiting for the details of the friendly to be finalized before officially signing with Madrid.

there were tickets for the Zidane match going for $500 a seat.... while there was still 95% of the seats available from ticketmaster. Let's wait for the actual prices to come out.
