TFC gets punished for lack of finish
Canadian title hopes hinge on goal bonanza in showdown with defending champions
Daniel Girard
After defeating the Montreal Impact 1-0 in a Canadian Championship game last month, Toronto FC coach Chris Cummins lamented his side's missed scoring chances.
"We've got to be careful it doesn't come back to bite us on the backside," Cummins said that night.
Now it has.

'Lite letdown
Ryan Johnston
Funny things those best laid plans; in hindsight they often resemble the exact opposite.
Since crashing out of the inaugural Nutrilite Canadian Championship (NCC) last summer, Toronto FC has made no bones over its mandate from the front office to the FieldTurf that the franchise-first silverware needed to be a Voyageur Cup (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyageurs--Cup) in 2009.

Unhappy trails
Gerry Dobson
It must not have been a very happy flight home for Toronto FC immediately following Tuesday night's 2-0 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Their plan all along was to race to the airport to catch the red eye back to Toronto so they could enjoy the day off Wednesday, relaxing safe in the knowledge the Nutrilite Canadian Championship was theirs. They raced to the airport all right, with their heads down and their tails between their legs.

Canada rises in FIFA rankings, Spain No. 1

Canada was one of the biggest movers when the FIFA world soccer rankings were released on Wednesday, climbing six spots to 83rd, while European champion Spain completed a calendar year at the top of the heap.
However, Canada's move wasn't based on team results. The men's national team has only played one match since it crashed out of World Cup qualification last November, which was a 1-0 victory over Cyprus on Saturday.

I've never heard of this Real Madrid team.. are they any good? I mean they are probably no Vancouver Whitecaps so I'm sure TFC can take them out!

Sounds like they copied their name form Real Salt Lake. How lame is that?

Tickets "at a special loyalty price." for Real Madrid. Trust me, this would not have happened if this place didn't go berserk. But hey, $250,000 on grass, an excellent defenders annual remuneration. Oh well...

The heat is being felt.

I have to get this off my chest.

If you flip through the pics of the SSG (and I always do) Tuesday's SSG and Wednesday's SSG picked the same wardrobe. There are a lot of wrongs in TFCLand, but this one wrong we just cannot ignore. What next? Will Paul B. and Michelle L. sport the same hairdo? Its anarchy, it must stop.
