Has anyone ever noticed the map has been updated since BMO's construction but the image has not?

Was it always like this (http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=toronto&sll=43.389082,-80.507812&sspn=14.713689,39.550781&ie=UTF8&ll=43.633264,-79.418664&spn=0.00358,0.009656&t=h&z=17)?

They updated it while it was under construction, then removed it ... this was half a year ago.

Windows Live Maps has the updated views ...

I checked a couple weeks ago and the image was 2006, tried again this week and it said the image was 2005 :( not sure why.

All I could see was the area where they planned to build it.

This thread will take away from all the negative talk on the boards. At least we have excellent satellite imagery of BMO field!!

BMO is there if you have Google Earth.

Google earth has a "historical" images layer which has all past images for the area you are looking at. Some the historical images are more up to date than the default ones. If you go to the layer they have images of Toronto on:

Apr 20, 2006 showing the construction
Aug 28, 2007 BMO completed
Nov 13, 2007 BMO completed
Nov 18, 2007 BMO completed with bubble

The more update images aren't the default ones due to issues of clarity, sun angle, clouds, etc..

Funny enough, this was sort of born out of that. With all the talk of starting up a CSL club I got talking to a buddy about it. I wanted to show him how close Lamport was to BMO only to find BMO wasn't there!

I've notied this too, I'm not sure what the deal is. I took some screenshots of where I work from Google Maps a couple weeks ago. I needed to get a larger area of the facility this week and they were all older pictures.
