There was a banner behind the net that said "RED PATCH PLASTICS" and 5-10 blow-up dolls hanging on the railing with it.

Red Patch Plastics doesn't sound like it's referring to grass...but what do I know

The Southsiders really do think of RPB (and any "new" Toronto soccer fans) as plastics. I wonder what they'll be thinking of the new fans that show up to BC Place in two years time.

I had it out with a few of the Southsiders about this on their forum. You're right, it has more to with the fact that they refer to TFC fans as "plastics" unless you were supporting the Lynxx way back when. In fact, you're plastic if you're a new supporter period. Now, they hate Toronto plastics in particular because we've shown up on the scene as Johnny-come-latelys and come off all arrogant like, so they say. It sounds like they might be willing to accept Vancouver plastics that come out to support the team in 2011, but I suspect a good many of the Southsiders will continue to get hard-ons based how long they've been supporters for. Should be interesting.

Having said all that - fuck was I ever envious of the show they put on last night. There is a team that shows its love to its supporters. SIGH.

We lost probably the most important game we've had EVER... and we are talking about what they called us?!?!? Had we won... it would be a different story... The Vancouver Whitecaps bossed us around like we were their b1tches... what a disgrace...

Blow up dolls are funny no matter who/what they're directed at. I got a chuckle out of it. I'm sure they laugh at some of the stuff we do too. I have a few friends from montreal who laugh at the tic tac chant.
