TFC can't stop Houston Dynamo
Red hot Dynamo spoil De Ro's return
HOUSTON -- On paper, Toronto FC's visit to face the Houston Dynamo looked like it could be a very competitive game. Toronto FC were coming off a 3-1 win against New England last week and had lost just once in their last six games. Houston entered riding a six-game unbeaten streak, with wins in four of those six games.
Looks, however, can often be quite deceiving.
Houston jumped on Toronto FC early, getting three goals in a five-minute span of the first half and then sitting back the rest of the game, dominating the Reds in a 3-0 defeat.

Jackson's goal lifts Canada
LARNACA, Cyprus -- Simeon Jackson celebrated his first career senior cap with a second-half goal yesterday to give Canada a 1-0 win over Cyprus in an international friendly.
Jackson picked up a pass at the top of the box from a quickly taken free kick that seemed to catch the Cypriot defence off-guard. The 22-year-old striker, who plays for English club Gillingham, fired the ball past goalkeeper Antonis Georgallides in the 53rd minute.
