De Rosario to stay cool in front of former fans
Daniel Girard
Dwayne De Rosario is promising restraint.
If he scores for Toronto FC on his return to Houston tonight, De Rosario will do his best to curtail the celebration out of respect for the fans and players who treated him so well for three seasons.
"I'm going to try and limit it to one shake and a bake," said the Scarborough native who came home to play after a December trade from Houston, where he won two Major League Soccer championships.

De Rosario back with Toronto FC to face Dynamo
Midfielder fond of Houston, excited about role in Toronto
Ever the crowd pleaser, Dwayne De Rosario had a long list of things he missed about Houston ¯ and he was going to name them all, as if trying to make sure to include everyone.
The fans, of course. His longtime teammates, understandably. Robertson Stadium, clearly. The heat… Wait, what?

Daniel Girard
Toronto FC yesterday announced a date change for its home game against the New York Red Bulls, clearing the way for an Aug. 7 match against European soccer titan Real Madrid.
The Red Bulls game will be played at BMO Field on June 13 at 8 p.m. instead of Aug. 9 as originally scheduled, which is the day the Spanish side is to play D.C. United in Washington.

In October of last year I got the opportunity to watch Real Madrid play its second-biggest rival from Barcelona -- RCD Espanyol -- at the The Bernabéu in Madrid. The match finished 2-2 with local Galactico Raúl González Blanco scoring a pair of first-half goals. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cotkCzv4vH4)
I saw the match on the third day of a three-week backpacking tour of Spain and in Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and Malaga I reiterated to anyone interested that being one of 65,000 Madridista on that evening was an unforgettable experience. (The idea of supply and demand dictated what I paid for the tickets, with the emphasis on demand.)
