So far this season we have played 5 home games and scored 4 goals (MLS only) and played 4 road games and scored 9 goals. This is a sharp contrast to the rest of the league where the majority of teams can score at home and struggle on the road as well as in recent seasons scoring on the road has been our achilles heal.

Wondering if anybody has any ideas on why this is happening this season or if its just a weird occurance in football.

We play a more defensive style then most in the league when we are good we defend well, and the game is not wide open, and therefore goals tend to be down. The exepction were Kansas and DC. What we need to do is able to score 2 goal within the type of game that we play better, meaing a controled well defended game. We should be able to do this.

With the exception of the season opener every game TFC has won has been 1-0. That is a big problem.

If a team has scored on us we don't get more than a draw.

You mean that defensive game with Barret on the break so many times, particularly in the Montreal game, where he can't score.
We need a proven striker.

My theory is it's because of the weather. The weather has been bad for every game this season besides Dallas ... rain+wind = Less goals (I think).

Also might be because there is a lot more pressure to win at home then on the road ...

It's simple.

Goals on Fieldturf: 4
Goals on Grass: 9

There's only one thing left to do, burn the Fieldturf.
