I agree, Velez, Serioux and Nana can all play that position. I think though that Nana is a better match with Serioux in the middle than Velez.

Yes. Nana can play.

Either way I just saw the news. Posted a little over an hour ago at Sportsnet. Prolly announced earlier by the team though.

We played a well rounded 75 with out him wednesday.

Backline should stay, its hot right now..

Its obvious SportsNet mis-quoted, or at least edited Cummings here...

"...Marvell has got a knock to the back of the leg, It's just a contusion and he'll probably be out for about seven to 10 days."

Because somewhere in there a "...to be honest with you..." was cut out!

Carts... :)

At least we won't have to worry about handballs in the box.

but we will miss his speed though....maybe when he gets back move him up from defence to the midfield..why not we need speed there

Not a fan of Wynne in the midfield. Yes he has speed but he also has the tendency to run the ball right off the field, plus his crossing is horrible. Once or if Marvell starts to understand the positional aspect of defending he'll be among the MLS elite.

Funny, I was thinking the same......

I was hoping to see his play improve after recent poor decisions but I think we'll be ok.

last season this would have been a very bad blow..but this season I'm not that worried...Nana has been great and Velez and Harmes have improved a lot and with Serioux being well, the best defender we've ever had, let Wynne have a rest.

Can he start and then be substituted by Barrett? (don't want to mess with good thing)

Agreed.

BTW, Nana has been playing great. Scary part is that he is only 20 years old.

He is a good MLS player great physical skills. Still needs work on his crossing and positional. But I can still see him playing overseas at some point.

this is the best news i've heard all season.. not that i wish for anyone to get/be hurt.. although having wynn out of the side is only a good thing IMO. this will finally show all that we can play better football with him in the stands.. i am confident that the D will be even better with his departure :scarf:
