View Full Version : Pre-game: Chicago Fire @ Toronto FC

This is going to be a very tough test for Toronto. Chicago still hasn't lost, but has a zillion ties (well not exactly) already.

I am assuming that Wynne is okay for Saturday, if not, then Nana get the call at RB. Upfront, probably the same as midweek? With DeRo-Barrett-Vitti. I think Dichio could also start, but that will push either Vitti or Barrett out, or DeRo to midfield.

Nuvinho,

Just a suggestion. When you make the pregame threads, add on TV channels/radio so the poor saps like me who don't have seasons tix can easily find where to watch the game.

Thx to Justin though I should be at this game making lots and lots of noise. Can't wait!

Barrett should be playing. I hope Vitti gets minutes, too, because he's been more and more impressive every game.

Prediction: Toronto FC 2, Chicago 0, goals by DeRo and Barrett

Certainly hope so.

But 2-1 is more likely, Fire has not been shutout yet this season.

Blanco, McBride, Rolfe, Soumare and Conde. Target them, shut them down, Chicago is at our mercy.

I'm liking the fact that people's confidence in Barrett has skyrocketed since that glorius strike even though his confidence seems to still be in the gutters based on his reaction on TFC TV. This is what I've said for a while Barrett can be a scorer of amazing goals but I'd prefer him to be an amazing scorer of goals.

Here is the ref of the games MLS stats:

85 games, 3.6 Y/gm, 23 RC, 28 penalties

Not liking what I see there.

I have no idea what average ref stats are but 28 penalties seems high doesn't it?

Toronto's not very good so far at come-from-behind wins. However, when we get the lead first, we hold it better than the Fire.

We need to score more than 1 goal.
MG42 in the north south thread posted we're 8 wins 1 draw no losses when we score more than a goal.
Also if Dichios good to go, lets hope he scores. We're apparently 5 wins 1 draw when Dichio scores at BMO.

I can't make it to the game, but I leant my jersey to my pal who has never been to a game and sitting in the southstand. I feel as though I will be there in spirit.

The rain is supposed to stop before game time.

Robbo is back, DeRo is fine, Dichio is back to health but will start on the bench I believe. Marvell is out for this one and probably next week.

Our lineup should look like this:

------------Frei--------------
Nana---Serioux--Velez---Brennan
------Cronin----Robbo------
---Vitti---Guevara---DeRo---
----------Barrett--------------
