This has been probably been discussed, but I don't see any search tool to search for threads...I understand he has a knee injury, but what exactly is his knee injury and how long is he out for...I want to see him in action

I heard he did some light training with the team for the first time the other day. (I think BigBruva said that here).

Toronto FC forward O'Brian White continues to make good progress as he recovers from an ACL injury. White joined in warm-up with the team on Monday for the first time. The 23 year old has stepped up his training and has begun working with the ball.

"He is making excellent progress," said Manager, Director of Soccer Mo Johnston. "We are very pleased with his recovery and credit goes to the members of the medical staff who have been working very hard with him. He has been doing a lot of one-on-one work with Shawn Jeffers as well as working with Paul Winsper and Carmelo Lobue."

White was picked 4th overall in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft in St.Louis and arrived in Toronto with a formidable reputation. He won the highest individual honour in U.S. collegiate soccer in January 2008 when he received the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy as the National Collegiate Athletic Association's most valuable player. White scored six goals in 14 games in 2008 before suffering an ACL injury in October that ruled him out for the rest of the year.

Getting subbed last match, the consistency in blown chances, and the focus on OBW's recovery process...

...Something tells me Cummins is putting a message through to Chad. No position should be taken for granted. Maybe putting him through his rounds? Buck up and produce or he might not be the man up front for us?

Maybe I'm reading too much into it,
But lighting a fire under a complacent player in any sport always seems to turn out beneficial.

Normally such a situation would be beneficial but I think that in this case it isn't, because Barrett isn't complacent by any stretch he's possibly the hardest working player day in day out. His problem is his finish not his hustle.

Regardless: Hustle doesn't = wins
more goals than opposition = wins

Cunny was a lazy prick who got boatloads of chances and couldn't score,
Chad is a worker with boatloads of chances and couldn't score,

Only difference = we appreciate ones effort

When really we should be looking at the fact:
Both cost us points in the standings,
Both let fans down/leave them baffled,

...and to the Barret die-hards: don't try the "chad creates chances" excuse... we've already seen others can create chances in that spot (Dichio + Vitti), "chance-creators" aren't what we need....goals are

I just appreciate the fact Cummins isn't afraid to mix it up,
can only bode well for us in the longrun

So based on the articles and the talk, we could be seeing Obie Won KWhite being subbed into the LA Galaxy game on June 6th. Heck, maybe he'll get into the Vancouver game June 2nd although it would be nice to get him into a home game for his first game.

I'm exited to see what this kid's got.

Not to be a wet blanket, but I'd wait until he's actually played a minute before assuming he'll make the college to mls transition. six goals in 14 games in NCAA doesn't really tell us anything about his pro prospects.

And Poppa, you're reading in something that isn't even remotely indicated. They've been updating his condition regularly, so there's no reason to suggest there's any secret message regarding scoring for barrett in there.

I think the Cunty comparisons are a bit unfair because Chad really can't do much to convert those chances, he's already working as hard as he can he just doesn't have the finish that people wish he did.
Having said that he does create more chances and better ones than anyone else, how many open breakaways has Dichio had recently?
