WASHINGTON–If there were any doubts that Toronto FC's interim coach Chris Cummins has a very different personality from his predecessor and former boss, John Carver, they were erased after TFC's scintillating 3-3 draw against D.C. United last night.

Late penalty allows DC United to salvage tie with TFC
Marvell Wynne must be wondering if fate has it in for him.
For the second time in less than a month, the Toronto FC defender has seen an inadvertent hand ball cost his team valuable points in the MLS Eastern Conference standings.
On April 18 in Texas, it happened in the 85th minute and led to a 3-2 Dallas victory that sent then-coach John Carver into the tizzy that may have been the final straw that led to the bench boss's resignation.

Before last night's MLS match between D.C. United and Toronto FC, several hundred United supporters marched down East Capitol Street to bring attention to the club's need for a modern home facility. But one has to wonder whether United would ever, even in a new venue, be able to replicate a game as wacky as the one that unfolded later at RFK Stadium.
With three goals in a late six-minute span, including Jaime Moreno's penalty kick in added time, United and Toronto settled for a 3-3 tie before 15,652 spectators.

Wild night at RFK
Late penalty costs Toronto FC
ASHINGTON -- Dwayne De Rosario scored two second-half goals and Adrian Serioux added another, but another late penalty kick call on Marvell Wynne forced Toronto FC to settle for a 3-3 tie against D.C. United on Saturday night at RFK Stadium. The point was TFC's first in four all-time trips to RFK and the tie extended Toronto's unbeaten run to five games in all competitions, but the Reds missed a golden chance to leapfrog the hosts and claim sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Toronto FC earns first ever point at RFK Stadium
DeRo scores two in second half
WASHINGTON -- Don't look now, but Toronto FC is officially on a roll. The Reds earned their first ever point at RFK Stadium with a 3-3 draw against D.C. United on Saturday night. And, they could have escaped the U.S. capital with all three in the bag if not for a late handball call that set up Jaime Moreno's equalizer from the penalty spot in second-half stoppage time.
"What a game," said TFC interim boss Chris Cummins after the six-goal thriller in which five strikes came in the second half.
