Two teams who have had outstanding opening thirds of the season meet for the second time as Toronto FC plays host to the Los Angeles Galaxy. TFC had gone on a six-game unbeaten run - sparked by their 3-2, come-from-behind win against the Galaxy on April 13 - before it came to an end at D.C. United last weekend. The Galaxy have lost just once in their last five matches, winning their last two in a row, as their high-octane attack has scored the most goals in the league.

When none of your central mids can complete a simple pass I have to wonder why we gave Victor Pacheco like 60 minutes total to prove himself. He easily would have been an asset today.

a few quick thoughts...
1) Edu had his best game of the season today I thought. I wonder if Carver will play him a more attacking midfield role than he has in the 4-5-1.
2) Cunningham was a threat all game, but he's still so frustrating to watch when he only puts away 1 out of 5 good chances he gets.
3) Disappointing to see another clown run on the field today...really put a sour note on an otherwise great 2nd half.
4) if LA played all season without becks/landycakes, they'd be a mediocre USL team at best.
5) from the tele, the crowd sounded a lot better today than it had in the last couple of home games (esp. columbus). nicely done.

That 1st half was total garbage for both teams. Jimmy B really seemed to hold things together at times. Other than that, wifey fell asleep on the couch, and rightly so.

2nd half was obviously much better.

Ricketts looked great and did well taking free kicks, even took a couple shots!

Julius James...feel good story of the game for sure! It was touching seeing him run to Carver to celebrate the same way Velez did. You can tell JC means a lot to these guys. Then at the end when James kneeled down to take a minute to himself (or with God, to each his own) you could see how much finally making a contribution to the team meant to him. He's had a challenging start to his pro career with injuries and the team going on a run making it impossible to crack the line up. But he stuck with it and when he finally got the chance he certainly made the most of it. That's a feel good story for sure.

Edwards with a clean sheet, he'll just gain that much more confidence for when he's called upon again.

Cunny caught a break and scored...hopefully another confidence boost for him.

Smith does not look at all out of place out there, he was unlucky a couple times but should be happy with his performance.

Another great result at home, the supporters sounded great, all in all an awesome day.

Good game, I`d hold back on too much praise for our offensive players. Scoring against the Galaxy is good, but you should score against the galaxy. It gets much tougher against a team that actually has a concept of how to play defense.

The team played very well over all at some time in the late fgirst half the defence looked desorganized... but in general pretty good.
Rickets i think it was a very good game for him tonight... but 2 things he needs to improve on... fitness he looks "rounder" than the rest of the players and was grasping air at half an hour into the game. Also he needs to stop trying to deak every time he gets a ball... which makes him very predictable to defend... he needs to mix it up a bit more passing less dribling.
Cunny was pretty good over all... but i think he needs to work on ball distribution there were a couple of times when there were players free ahead of him or on the sides on the route to goal and he didn't exploide that possibility...
Edu played pretty good today.. but could be better. But i am definetly happy on his improvement on the passing attitude...

Ask Carver or the keeper coach what they would say to him if he DIDN'T play the ball with his feet and run clock when we've got a lead!
