definitely true.

I was surprised how much I got into the Vancouver game last year. Before the match I didn't think I'd care that much about Vancouver.. but during the match, my blood was boiling.
The fact they played hard against us and then rolled over for Montreal made me dislike them even more.
Of course the Montreal game was even more intense. That last 20 minutes where we had chance after chance but couldn't score at the south end was probably the craziest period of any game.

both games are definitely more important to me than the average league game.

Hey Ben

It wasn't just Minnesota and Tulsa.

The Blizz played Chicago in the last Soccer Bowl in 1984.

It was a best 2 of 3, Chicago won 2-0, the last NASL Game ever played was at Varsity Stadium.

Some of your readers may have been there!

Columbus is a rivalry.

That your dismissive of it only shows how much you hate them. You dont want to admit that to yourself.

Sigh. Columbus IS a rivalry. I'm just suggesting that Montreal and Vancouver are bigger rivalries.

When Vancouver and Montreal (hopefully) enter MLS, no one will care about Columbus any more

One guy up above disagreed with you, but I'd bet the ratio of agree:disagree amongst those who read what you wrote would be 99:1 for agree.

I would consider Montreal a rivalry. Vancouver? Not so much.

Why is Vancouver being referred to as "VC"? Never heard that before...

Really? I might have thought that before they beat us at home.

A lot of people I talked to were more pissed off about that defeat than any other last year.

in my head it's a rivalry :)

i didn't expect much before that Shitecaps game... but as the minutes past, the dislike grew :) by the end of the game I was involved in a rivalry!
Then I was pissed at the Whitecraps for rolling over against Montreal in both their games. That was pathetic ... sorta like they got up for the MLS side but not their USL counterparts.

<------- Makes this TFC's biggest rivalry for me. I have so much invested in this game emotionally that I'm going to be a wreck on Wednesday.

This competition with Vcr & Mtl will grow as the years go by, especially when they're in mls, Montreal is a natural rivalry as is Columbus
