Repairs close Gardiner, charity run on Yonge.....
Spring repairs and a 10-kilometre run for kids with cancer will close roads in Toronto this weekend.
Starting tonight at 11 p.m., the eastbound Gardiner Expressway will be closed between the Lake Shore Blvd. exit (Humber River) and Carlaw Ave. for routine repairs. The major artery is scheduled to reopen at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the 13th annual Sporting Life Toronto 10-kilometre run will cause downtown road closures from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. tomorrow.
About 12,000 people are expected to take part in the run, which will begin on Yonge St., just south of Lawrence Ave., then proceed south on Yonge, west on Richmond St., south on Peter St., west on Front St., south on Bathurst St., finishing on Fort York Blvd.
