~SUPPORTERS MATCH -VS- Section 8: May 16, 2009~~

As supporters of Toronto FC, one of our many traditions include welcoming visiting support with nice 'friendly' game.

Last year, before the final game of the season we faced Section 8 of Chicago at Cherry Beach in the east end. We beat them 3-1.

They have contacted me and what to play a home and away series. The first game will be in Toronto on Game day May 16th 2009.

I am currently working on securing a field. I promised last years team that I would try to stick to the same team. I have added people from all supporters groups to the mix. Last year we were somehow outnumbered. I hope that the people on the list below can confirm their attendance with me that way I can add players where needed.

Information on open spots will come in the next few days.
Also, as for location, the game will be played at either Lamport or Cherry Beach.
I hope that we can get a good turn out to support your fellow peers.

Please keep an eye on this thread as i will update it with important info regarding roster, and locations. I will also look into getting a trophy made up for this series with section 8.

Lastly, I will look into getting new uniforms for this season. All info will be here and updated daily.

Count me in Ive played against these guys since day one when we used garbage cans for nets. We might have lost 6-2 but TFC won 3-1 that day and I think most people know what day that was!

That field allows all types of cleats to be used. 'Nuff said.
