The last 2 years there were quite a number of product giveways pre and post game (I speak of Gate 3).

This year, not so much.

Any thoughts?

I was telling my friend before the game, we will get pasta after the game.....since the game was sponsored by Primo.

Week 1 - BMO magnet Calendar
Week 2 - I don't remember
Week 3 - Earth day bag
Week 4 - Pasta

Yeah, I was getting on the streetcar, and some guy saw a box of pasta left on the seat, and asked me if I wanted another box.

Maybe they should have used promotions more this year (first 5000 fans) for every game to get people in their seats earlier instead of bumping up game times on tickets by 15 min.

Maybe less product give away but theres just as much if not more Rogers shit floating around.

I see myself slowly becoming one of those dickhead environmentalists when I catch myself bitching about all the waste. The coolest thing they have given away was the mini scarf last year and the piece of shit still had "Rogers" on it in three places.

yeah, I need more cheap stuff!!!! ;)
i always found it fascinating when people would run for the boxes of free crap... stuff that you could easily afford with the change you find in your couch.

When I read the thread title, I thought giveaways by our defense. I was going to say you missed 4 games this season :)

really? i would never do that.

outside of jays games on bobblehead days, people are often offering up to 100 bucks for the free bobblehead if they missed being on of the 10 000 who got one.

i always found it strange when teams give away bobbleheads, that everybody in a family grabs one... really what does a family need 4 crappy bobbleheads of the same crappy person for?

At Marlies games stay after the final whistle and look under the seats. I once walked away with 10 bb heads.

I gave them as gifts to kids in my family.

They don't want to give away stuff when you go in for obvious reasons.

I know what I would have done with the pasta if I saw our bald linesman screw up one more offside call while being 25 yards behind the play.....

As it was he almost got hit by a full roll of TP that someone did not know how to throw.

To be honest, I'm glad they're starting to cut down on the random crap they distribute before and after games. We don't need it - it's just more garbage destined for the landfill.

Poster, schedule magnets, or mini-magazines? Not a problem. Pasta and razors? Ummmm...

nothing beats last year when they gave away the loreal shampoo after the Revolution game during CNE. Everyone dumped it into a fountain outside the stadium and it turned into a huge mountain of suds... hilarious!

heck, I didn't even keep the free seat cushion!
when the lady gave me that at the gate, I was like "huh? what the hell do I need this cheap piece of crap for?" So as I went to the washroom, I left it on the counter.
Thus when Dichio scored I did not throw a seat cushion.
