KC, despite being near the top of MLS, has a lot of gaps. A lot of flukey points and had benefit of being up a man in two of their games which they barely won.

2-0 TFC, providing that Davey Arnaud doesnt get another open 30 yd strike

We've beaten them away, we can take them at home. Our support can only help. :)

We need to stop this guy: David Arnaud

You give him the slighest hole in our Defence and he'll shoot...

With all due respect to the Kansas City Wizards, their position in the table is slightly flattering to say the least.

They were up a man against Seattle for more than an hour scoring their 2 goals with the advantage. They were 11 v. 10 against the Red Bulls last game for almost the entire 90 minutes and didn't manage to even add one goal (on top of the pk that was awarded when the red was given).

Not saying we should take them lightly in any way.

But we should not give them any extra respect that they don't deserve. We need to come out into this game as the aggressor and feeling confident that we are the better team. If we play to the standings then we might end up satisfied with a draw.

yep

got to be very aggressive again and shut down KC midfield.

their defence is back on track 2 goals in 4 games although two were against teams a man down and KC still got swarmed by Seattle.

i'm also betting Guevara will continue with his tradition of pwning KC :D

edit: will be interesting to see match fitness of Barrett, Guevara and Dichio. been logging a lot of mins

That would be Bruce Arena. Thank goodness he's retired to coaching once again.

I just hope we don't continue KC's opponents pattern and play them with a man down.

Cronin and Robbo in the middle will definately make a big difference in containing Arnaud.

Should we do anything to honour John Carver, and his contributions to the club? I think that we really gotta show some respect to the man.

TFC if they play the same way as they did with Chivas...should take KC...But KC is not the bad or flukey team some have made them out to be...KC was one of my picks to make the playoffs this season..and still so...If TFC want to join them then
3 points must be taken Sunday.

welllll.. KC has been outplayed in many of their games, which is the reason people are calling them lucky. they seem to be involved in a lot of very close games, and they get some calls.
I watched the NY game on Thursday and despite being a man up on NY they couldn't get anything going. It was like NY had 11 men. and that was on their own home field. And we dominated them in game 1.. and they were lucky to pull out a tie in Chicago even though Chicago peppered so many shots on them.

i don't think their record represents their true strength. they've had a lot of luck.

All I know is that if Davy Arnaud is afforded enough space to unleash another howler this Sunday, our defence would need some serious talking to from Cummins. It was ridiculous how much space he had in the last game. Those two goals were beauties, no doubt, but there was no one closing in on him on both occasions. It better not happen again.

Very true.....but if we go with this 433 again I think we have the makings for Robbo & Cronin to shut him down. I am sure they will have the duty to keep him in check. The team did a great job with Sasha in the Chivas game...so I am hoping for much of the same.

For all the criticism we have heaped upon our team in the last couple of weeks, a win tomorrow will technically put us top of the table in the East. Funny how a couple of victories can change things so quickly.

I hope our guys don't come out looking tepid from low morale, due to their coach quitting suddenly.

I hope so. As long as we pass and maintain possession like we did last week, a victory should be in sight.

That is, of course, assuming Arnaud doesn't fire any more flawless rockets at Frei from a mile out.

i think shutting down Lopez is the key. 5 points in 5 games, he is the creative one in the offensive, sure Arnuad finishes well, but Lopez is the real threat, having a much better season this year then last

Results in other games went fantastic yesterday. A win will put us at the top of the table. Let's get it done!

Shortest pregame thread ever. Gee, I wonder why.

KC may not be that great, but they're better than they were week 1. Based on what happened in last game, if I were them, I'd be working hard to take Amado out of the game (hard fouls, close marking etc). No DeRo to relive the pressure on Amado.

I'm a bit worried about this game.

I'm a bit worried about this game.

Don't get worried about games... anybody in MLS can beat anybody in MLS on any given day.
TFC's win on Wednesday is proof of that.

There's no sense getting even a "bit" worried about it.

GO TFC!

I feel good about this game today. We beat them with a great performance to open the season and I believe it is because we are the better team.

I don't think Carver leaving should have any bearing on this game. It's the players that make the team and not the coach and I know our players can play very well when they just put in the effort and don't get sloppy.

Bring it on.

Couldn't agree more with you on that. We were solid out on the pitch on Wednesday and I doubt Kansas City could mount the same sort of opposition that we saw against Chivas. Unfortunately I can't make it out to BMO today, but I have a feel it's going to be a pretty good game all around.

2-1 Toronto. Guevara and Barrett.
