According to Mayor Miller's tweet TFC has a "significant" announcement coming today. I have to admit i suspect it's about the playing surface, after all he would be one of the first to know if grass is coming.

TTC has a significant announcement today, as they announce who wins the $billion streetcar contract (which of course will be Bombardier ...)

The TTC is suffering from hooligan employees and have been sanctioned: they must keep their buses/streetcars/subways behind closed doors and in the garage for a day. :D

Well there is a TFC link. Those new 3-car streetcars have about twice the capacity as the current ones, so it will be easier to get to and from BMO Field for games! I'm sure that's what djing was thinking :)

(though I've been quite impressed with how many Bathurst cars they've had sitting there ready to go at the end of the game sometimes!).

But Siemens's stock was docked one dollar on the TSX for fielding an ineligible employee. :D How far are we going to take this?

blue night along yonge isn't bad.... the subway is worse for shit than that bus.

sometimes it's even a party, but i haven't found it that bad. just people drinking, and sometimes smoking weed. that was before the cameras.

hahahahaaaaaa!!!! TTC sign new Designated Bus!

A bus that will cost much more in fare than the normal buses, but that will rarely deliver a better service.

However, there is this odd case of designated bus that helps to advertise the TTC and make it well known to the European public transit systems. However, this designated bus was not satisfied with the performance of its fellow buses and was loaned to the public transit system in Milan.

Siemens will win, because they've already agreed to lay natural grass down our streetcar lines.:D

The epic battle between Siemens and Bombardier!Indeed - and this is the replay, as they it a was a 0-0 draw the first time, when TTC threw out all the bids, and called for another match.

Tram in St etienne has grass

To all you naysayers out there: if you can drive a 50,000-pound tram over grass, you can throw 22 men onto the stuff.

i'd say it's fairly important. even TFC relevant.... in the future it might mean that people have a more comfortable ride to BMO

the tram is on rails so it really doesn't touch the grass. I don't know about St. Etienne, but Bilbao is a fair bit warmer too

come on robot door controllers.....

I have to agree with this here. Sorry to anyone here who might be a skilled door operator, but seriously, how hard is an automated door with a sensor to indicate if someone is there? Do we really need to pay inflated union wages for someone to hit a "close door" button? I'm pretty sure that technology is already widely available...

Then nobody will complain about the location of the stadium!
