Can anybody give me a legitament reason as to why we do not have a designated player? I see the stadium full every game, I see tonnes of TFC shirts, scarfs and other apparel. I see a waiting list for seasons tickets. Why has Mo failed us in aquiring a designated player and should we hold him accountable for this failure?

Even in the big leagues, these things don't happen overnight.
Mo has chased several, and for one reason or another, the deals fell through.
It's not complacency. They are trying to bring us a DP, but we have may issues working against us. It's just not as easy as clicking your heels and making a wish.

I think you just answered your own question... Why would they when:

new threads should add something new to the discussion, not just
have an opinion that could be expressed in any of these other threads.

They don't need to get one, financially. Given three seasons of not having a proven goal scorer (and I don't mean a Jeff Cunningham, one in five because I have speed kinda goal scorer), they'd have signed one by now if they wanted to.

End of story. It either doesn't fit their long-range tactical plan or it doesn't fit their financial plan to shell out a couple of million bucks more a year.

the issue, is that there are lots of threads already out there on the same subjects.
