Match-winner. Good for him!

"Rangers did manage to double their advantage after 19 minutes. Mendes supplied the corner and Edu rose above everyone else in the box, leaving his marker Stephen McGinn helpless, to power home a header and claim his first goal for the club."

Calling the staff Nazis has gotten people banned.
No international talk has happened because people don't know how to play nice. It has nothing to do with the staff wanting to deprive you of a place to discuss International teams, and everything to do with the inability of certain members to moderate thier own behaviour.
The actions of a few spoiled it for the many. If you don't like it, blame them, not the staff.

This is a TFC supporters forum. It is hosted at no cost to you. You should check your sense of entitlement at the door and be happy with what you get. There are lots of places to talk International Football. This isn't one of them.

Good to see Maurice breakout somewhat, I know first team minutes have been hard to come by for him but hopefully this will help him in getting more. Way to go Mo !!!

I'm sure he'll do well over there. Now he's getting his chance, and if he grabs it I think he'll be a regular starter. Scoring a goal today sure helps.

Seriously, people like Boban make me laugh. In fact, this is trolling at it's best. Has absolutely nothing important to say, doesn't care about the thread, but yet decides to post in it.

It looks good on TFC to have a player that they helped develop do well, so it is TFC news.

Edu's doing a lot better than a certain player in League 1:

Yeovil almost threw it away when Andy Welsh missed an easy chance to double the lead and Northampton broke away to win a free-kick from which Danny Jackman hit a post.

I've heard there were no TV Cameras flming the St Mirren game. The ony video I've seen is fan footage from a St Mirren supporter. His video didn't include the goal.

I love the way the rangers fans break into their Edu song.

By the way, some people are saying that Edu's progress is irrelevant to TFC, and that's nonsense.

If he becomes a regular, then some young kids who support rangers are going to make him their favourite player and TFC their MLS team, slowly but surely contributing to the international growth of the club brand.

I knew about the whitecaps when Liverpool signed Bruce Grobelaar, before that I had no idea there was even a city called Vancouver (I was very young) so it's all related.

Agreed. People study the past of their favorite players, a successful Edu at rangers is a good thing for TFC. Hopefully it helps us recruit younger players as a springboard to the bigger clubs in Europe as well...

That goal made me smile. He got several like that for us, in heavy traffic.

Starting to look like the player we saw in 2007.

I like our chant better! What a great song we had for him.

I've just watched both of Edu's recent goals on Ranger's website. I downloaded the files but can't post them to Youtube because of the copyright. The first goal is a great nearpost header from a corner and the second is a goalmouth scramble.

Yes, and our chant wasn't steeped in shit either. It would have been nice if they'd adopted that.

anyway.....
