I was looking over our schedule and we have multiple away and away games, meaning we play two games away in the same week. Say we could convince MLSE to push for a game vs. Chivas on Thursday and then LAG on Friday. Then we could have a way sicker double road trip! 2 games for one, fill the beautiful home depot centre twice in 3 days.

a neat idea...
but Wed - sat is probably more realistic.
as unlikely as it is.

Why would we play 2 games in 2 days? :noidea:

It would be cool if say the Reds played on a Wednesday and then Saturday in two closeby cities, I could really see this happening the future with Portland, Seattle and Vancouver in the league.

With having to schedule Canadian Championship games around the MLS sked it would really make sense to play it around a time when you are already on the West Coast.

Thursday-Friday? What is this, baseball?

some people are already planning the trip up from the Chivas game to the seattle one.

there will be a week in between, but that's just enough time to leisurely drive up the Pacific Coast Highway.

I'll see your two games and raise you one.
How about a Saturday Seattle, Wednesday Portland and Saturday Vancouver? *sigh* In a perfect world I guess.......

you want our team to play dead tired? I'd rather play 3 games in 3 weeks, and take 9 points from the whole thing.

Like I said, in a perfect world. It's not exactly a new idea schedule wise......... unless of course you're saying MLS doesn't have squad strength to pull it off. Tell me something I don't know.........
If I really wanted to push it, might I suggest a look at the current schedule around, oh I don't know..... May 9, 13, and 16? Seems like they better learn to play dog tired.....

ya best you could hope for is a Thursday and then Saturday game.

But also LA is so far away and exspensive i bet we couldnt get over 200 fans to make the trip. Its not really fillling the Home Depot Center.

how about this
Sat - Seattle
Wed - Vancouver (NCC)
Sat - Portland

even better, imagine the possibilities with:
Sat - home game
Wed - Ottawa (NCC) *with possible MLS/USL1 team*
Sat - Montreal *with MLS*

Given the distance from Toronto and the fact that Chivas and LA share a stadium, putting the two away games together is a no brainer. I don't see why this isnt done.

Fine, have it your way. 2 games, same day. A good old-fashioned doubleheader at the Home Depot Centre.

12:30 - 2:30 TFC v. Chivas

followed by

*** RPB Siesta time ***

followed by

7:30 - 9:30 TFC v. LAG

Just make the other teams play the same schedule. If one team is playing 2 games ie Wed to Sunday, ensure that the other teams involved do that too.

No one can complain then.
