Don't read this if you don't care about him

http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=goal_rangers_suspend_ferguson&prov=goal&type=lgns

This could be his big chance.

The last we want is that self centred wanker, even most Rangers supporters are fed up with him.

well i don't know about that, he was captain of the national team and the Rangers - i'd say he'd do nicely in our mid - even though it'll never happen.

^ Being totally biased, but Ferguson is an arrogant fuck and wouldn't want him here. Anyways, I'm sure the Huns would want a lot of money for him.

Assuming we have edu's rights for mls still, if rangers offered him back, would we even want him? i mean, where would he now fit in, and he wasn't looking that good before we sold him.

just a thought.

He's on a contract (I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 years) for more than $1 million per year. So he's not coming back until that contract is finished, at the earliest. By which time his rights will have reverted to the league.

If he is a bust at Rangers, he'll likely go to a Euro league (say the Netherlands or Bundesliga 2.), where those kinds of salaries are much more common than they are in MLS.

The Scottish FA banned these guys from playing for Scotland again! Pretty heavy! Wasn't Ferguson their captain?

agreed... and he will never play for rangers or scotland again...
having said that...i wouldn't put it past "the ginger heided judas" to try and bring him here..

in his day...BF was one of the best but his skills have eroded and he has never been able to play along side an equally if not more skilled player...this year it has been pedro mendes...

shameful how swift his downfall has been

ahhh the old edu loophole.

hopefully he gets to play more. i doubt mo would try to get Ferguson here. he'll probably go to the championship before coming to MLS.

edu came on as a substitute in the 76th min today in rangers 1-nil win over falkirk.....
in the games he's played he's shown glimpses of talent but nothing that makes one sit up and take notice..

oh give me a flippin' break - Barry Ferguson is/was (until a day or 2 ago) captain of both the Rangers and the Scottish national team and we think he isn't good enough for TFC??? - i can understand he may not even consider the MLS at this point but please......he's below our standards??? oh ya right.....

if this was 2 months ago and anyone was suggesting he'd be signed you'd all be drooling and stammering over each other in ecstasy...bloody hell, what a laugh...

did anyone say that?

disliking a player doesn't necessarily discount their talent.

^^ As I said earlier...why?

This boy was a God in Govan and now most are glad to see him away...why would we want him here?

His selfish, selfcentred antics have given Walter Smith a get out of jail card.

Bazza was a great servant of Rangers...its really a sad tale...chances are he won't play anywhere...

his eroded skills are more than adequate for the MLS it's the erosion of his character that i have a problem with...

the character bit i agree with as for the skills i'd love 'im on TFC - hmmmm now thinking of that what did they all say about Guevara's character at the time??? :noidea:

anyroad there is no way Barry Ferguson's ever coming to TFC....
