Morning Everyone,

Figured I'd set up the news this morning since Denime is either passed out after a long trip home / passed out in Columbus after a long night with a long trip home to come :)

Apologize in advance if some of these entries are essentially the same story. Mods: can I get a sticky pls?

SPECIAL TO THE STAR

Keeper Frei suffers back injury while making acrobatic save
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored on a penalty kick before Columbus teammate Gino Padula had an own goal to give Toronto FC a 1-1 tie with the Crew yesterday.
"We came here against the champions, in their home opener; it's a good result," TFC coach John Carver said. "This time last year, we would have lost. Our character is better in the locker room."

Well done, I suspect Denime and the rest of us appreciate your work. Just an aside: the second Star article and the Sun article are both from the Associated Press wire and basically word-for-word the same. The Sun has added some quotes, so perhaps get rid of the one from the Star?

And that's why blogger news is more imporant to us than typical newspaper fluff.

1)This Dispatch columnist got it just about right

2) If you haven't seen it, check out Shalrie Joseph's ball to Mansally on NE's tying goal in the 90th minute. A thing of beauty, and against the run of play - the Red Shite dominated the game.

3) Good thing Hejduk wasnt available yesterday....

The crew is trying to spin this as if a tie to us is equal to a win.
We need to spin it in the sense that they don't understand what just happened because they just dropped two points at home.
