What a TIFO they had for the pre-game at Wembley, one of the best I have seen, we should strive to be like that. Go Reds

beckham's MLS contract was ripped up, and the pieces thrown throughout the stadium.

If you have Rogers, it's on channel 429 with free preview.

England's flag, it spread across one side of the stadium. Looked great

all I saw was flash cards displaying English flag - nothing I haven't seen before; but I my eye wasn't on the tv all the time; so I could have missed the juicy part.

I really like the kits the English are wearing today, quite classy and understated. A real tribute to all eras of footy.

Brutal kits. Look like J Crew models. The shirt alone is great, but white shorts and white socks too looks very Abercrombie. Like they're all off to play Polo.
Poncey as hell.

the FA and wembley organized that tifo. hopefully our F.O. makes an effort to get a tifo going in the south end with the supporters at some point this season.

Interesting how the new kit doesn't have the star on it.

Interesting how the new kit doesn't have the star on it. Yes it does. It's just hard to see as it's a slightly different shade of white then the shirt itself.

I think it's a beautiful kit - very old school. I even enjoyed the Umbro promo Setanta just broadcast.

From The Guardian's match report :)
"Since when did Hackett start making football kits?" says Neil Mackie, putting it a lot better than I did. "I can see this will be all the rage while throwing plastic chairs in South Africa."

The new kit HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It looks like an effing training top! It's really bare, with just the crest and of course the Umbro badge. All they need are three-quarter-length shorts to complete the picture.

We tried a stadium wide TIFO, but if failed miserably......too bad it would have been great

The kit is fine in my opinion ... although it looks too much like the English test cricket kit.

In terms of kits, as I said above, I thought the new England kit was beautiful. I myself am not a fan of collars on football jerseys and, I admit, at times the jersey looked more appropriate for golf or cricket, but I loved the simplicity of it, how clean it looked.

As a comparison, look at what Slovakia was wearing - yet another messy Adidas kit, with three lines everywhere. Not only was it ugly, it displayed nothing to me of a Slovak identity. Umbro, though, shined through in English pride.

Why try to start a shitstorm? You don't like it, don't post. Simple isn't it. As for the TIFO...Not bad from a country not really known for doing it at a national level (at least that I know of).

nope your not alone the new poeple on this forum do not know how to read or just don't care. the forum that this would have been put in was close down

you can't even mention two certain teams in a thread specifically devoted to happiness under threat of closure, yet an unimpressive (considering the source) tifo for a team that most people don't care about and hasn't accomplished anything since forever gets to stick around

interesting

you need newspapers to have a real tifo.

The internationl forum was closed down for a reason.

I can only think this thread stayed open this long because most of the mods were in Columbus and the ones that were here were busy enough.

That's fixed now.
