I'd love to get Parke on this team.

I hated watching him on NYRB, but he's got undeniable talent.

Sounders still hold his MLS rights, so we'd have to pay for him.

We've taken chances on guys with attitude problems before, some have worked (Guevara) while others have not (Robert, Ruiz). I think if the price is right then Jeff Parke would be a definite asset to our back-line.

Juicing? You mean the over the counter pharmaceuticals he was using?

ATD is a somewhat common aromatase inhibitor (stops the aromatase enzyme from binding to testosterone to form estrogen) found in any number of legal supplements. Given that companies make this stuff also make other supps, its quite possible (unlike say Rogers Clemons and his "B12" injections, that there was cross contamination and he's telling the truth.

That being saud, boldenone does stimulate EPO production which controls red blood cell production which helps with endurance

An attitude problem on our back line? How would he fit in?

We're gonna have yellows all year back there...

Guys, this attitude problem thing is a rumour from a comment on a blog. Really, it doesn't get much worse then that for speculation.

Mo sign the fucker. Trade some allocation for him or something. Hell, trade one of our goalies and we are set.

No idea what he took, however, the supplement industry is completely unregulated. It's not unknown for companies to put other substances in the product that aren't listed on the label, and aren't always legal. It's entirly possible he walked into GNC and picked up something should have been fine, and got screwed.

A fairly lengthy article on this at :
http://www.menshealth.com/cda/article.do?site=MensHealth&channel=nutrition&category=vitamins.supplements&conitem=899d9a8e051b4110VgnVCM10000013281eac____&page=3

"Random batch spiking" has a long history in the supplement business. It works like this: "The manufacturer sprinkles an illegal substance into an over-the-counter dietary supplement," says Feliciano. "The legal ingredients are claimed on the label, but they don't disclose the drug."

Yeah Carrey said somewhere he'd like a 2nd Dp. If this is the case, would it be worth trading our DP slot for this year to Seattle for the rights to Parke and maybe a first round pick next year?

I dunno.

I'm just throwing it out there cuz it doesn't look like we'll be using it.

No but anything related to the OTHER Park song is good for a banning.

ive been thinking that to, we were promised a DP, and no DP ....
but hey im cool with it, bring the DP in with the expansion, and forget PARKE
and that first round draft pick, we have so many young players up and comming i think TFC maybe set.

Grab him now, cuz if we dont, Rapids will... or at least they should, cuz man, they blow.

Ultimately, Mo's NY connections mean he's gonna have some sense of whether this is doable.

From Parke's career I'd suggest that if the Red Bulls will take him back, he'd go. Jon Conway, their keeper, refused to even apologize for blowing a test and they re-signed him. Parke left the Shite by choice to try Europe; I imagine he'd go back to them before anyone else.

Sure would kick NY in the pants if he signed here, though. Right now, they're depending on Andy Boyens to have a solid season, so things are looking TFC-goodish.

i guess it will all come down to what seattle wants for him.
NY is thin on talent, as is LA (a destination Ives thinks is also likely). We've got good young talent, allocation cash and an available dp slot to trade. DC was also metioned in Ives article, but i don't kno what they could offer them. I think we're in good shape to play ball here.

Want! We'll give them Johann + cash and/or Edwards, dooooo it.

Can't see them wanting Edwards or Johann to be honest. Eylander their backup for Keller looks pretty good actually.

Funny thing is, there are worst defences in MLS right now than TFC. Though this is a bit too early of a speculation.

DC's collapse last game is pretty funny

Oop! I'm wrong. Ives is reporting Parke is pissed at NY for its handling of his suspension and Toronto is one of the teams that has pursued him in the past.
