So after offering to season ticket holders, and an inventory of only 200 tickets, they have opened the event up to the general public.

Wonder why they didn't mention the price in the article? (yes, read sarcasm)

its a charity event, so price doesn't really matter does it.

In these tough times, sadly it does.

half the price and more money raised on the auction items - just make the event less high brow and cut the cost. It's actually in vogue now - to be economical/practical.

The ticket price won't be the total bill for most.

What was it $125 a plate? That isn't too bad for a charity dinner really. I wanted to go but the wife wasn't interested. :)Wouldn't mind the New York trip, but I think that would be pushing my budget.

Why are you guys upset?

Fundraising dinners like these are a way for the team to get donations to charity from the Prawnies.

It's not for the people on the South End. There are other events for us more "frugal" types.

That being said, there are a few RPB who could afford this easily.

I went to the one last year, and really enjoyed it.
I ate good food, and probably drank about a six pack of Carlsberg.

Like Oldtimer said, this isn't an event geared towards us.
There are other people in the stadium, and the team should cater to them on occasion too.

I bought two tickets. It's for charity and you get free food and drinks, plus you get to hang out with all the TFC players and staff.:drinking:

bumpers, because this event is happening tonight.

side note: I'm not smoking today so I've been feeling really lightheaded.
