The Rangers sort of make sense with Edu their and all, it might have even been discussed when the transfer happened last year, also with the Mo that remains here, there is a tie their too.

Rangers? What a joke!

Let's stick to playing against South American clubs so that we can sign some of their players in the future. :D

So how often have Glasgow Rangers been in Toronto? I think they were Skydome playing someone in summer 2005. And they played Ulster United (of Toronto) in 1930 in the old Ulster Stadium on Gerrard Street - there was a movie of this circulating last year.

Have they played a Toronto team in Toronto since 1930?

Have you ever been to Ibrox, likely not. Why don't you cut the anti-anything relating to the UK rhetoric, If be chance Arsenal,ManU,Chelsea were playing at BMO, you'd be dying to go watch, wouldn't you. Take it for what it is, a friendly, besides very few of the first team would take the field anyway!!

If I remember correctly the Friendly ticket said 'Carlsberg Cup' match on it. I don't know if that is merely coincidental or if we are actually playing a team sponsored by Carlsberg.

It would be pretty lame to have Rangers come based on our connection with Edu .... and MoJo. We have enough money ..... MLSE needs to splash out for the BEST fan base in the league. Seems like most would like to see a Premiership team .... that would be great , but I'd also like to see a top team from Holland , Russia, Spain, hell even France !!!

Year 1, Villa comes to Toronto, and rises 5 places in the table that season. WHU came to town last year (ASG) having finished 10th, and are well-placed to finish 7th or 8th. So, on zero evidence whatsoever, I'm saying it'll be Spurs or Man City.

I doubt we'd get a Russian Premiership side because they are playing their regular season when we are.

I would be partial to a Bundesliga side, but am really not going to complain who it is.

personally I have about as much knowledge of Zenit or CSKA as I do of the Austin Aztex and Carolina Railhawks, so neither team would mean anything to me.

It's not like if they announced either team I'd be "WOOOOO!!!! WE GOT ZENIT/CSKA!!!!!! YAAA!!!!"

Don't a bunch of clubs around the world train on Field turf type pitches ?? I think LiverPool and FC Barcelona use them occasionally ?? Don't know why that would keep them away - In tennis to be the true best you need to be able to play on 4 surfaces.

I do not think it really matters to TFC who they bring in, 16,000 + tickets have already been sold for it regardless of who it is. What could really happen if they played Millwall, who is partly owned by a Canadian and plan on playing in Ottawa this summer already, a reunion of sorts with Danny D.
