hmm... i hate both columbus and seattle... but...

would you rather have an empty stadium (Crew) or a stadium filled with "latte sippers" (Sounders) ???

Watch out, soccer moms. I mean, this is a fan base that is prepared to go toe-to-toe with a group of hardened West Ham traveling supporters, as long as they have them outnumbered 100-1 in their own stadium concourse.

Not sure about the playoffs, but this article explains Columbus' regular season figures very clearly: http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/sports/stories/2008/07/17/crew17.ART_ART_07-17-08_C1_O2AP95Q.html?sid=101. In short, the above statistics have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Is this combined sales over the entire season?

This is actually a pretty common occurrence in MLS, and basically comes down to the fact that since they can't pre-advertise the game, no one knows its happening and therefore no one comes. Pretty much what happens when a game is a place to let the kids run around for two hours instead of a legitimate sporting event.

Seattle Milf's would kick KKKrew ass anyway, so they are best just leaving it alone.

Maybe Columbus is just tired of fighting a battle they just can't possibly win (against TFC),
so now they're looking for a new expansion team to pick on. As of this minute, I have no real dislike
for Seattle, other than the fact they are a competing team in our league. The Crew on the other hand.....

BWAHHHAHAHA!

This, while true, has nothing to do with Columbus' entirely bogus numbers.

The Crew are among several MLS teams (hello, New England) who report all tickets distributed as their attendance. They were busted last year by the Columbus Dispatch (you can probably still find the story on Google) for giving away nearly half of their tickets for every game. The actual paid attendance averaged under 10,000.

Seattle has a long and storied history in North American Football.

ITS A FACT.

like, all the way back to NASL and such so, they deserve respect IMHO.

Did Columbus have an NASL team? I dont know, but I do know that the sounders existed during that time.

Crew = sad

Can we just go tell the Crew shitpumps to go fist themselves?

Whenever I hear things like this from other teams needlessly just bashing another team just because it happens to be someone other than their own I just think to myself, well at least there are probably some supporters who aren't total douchebags. But everytime I hear the word Columbus I really can't find a single bright spot about ANYTHING. CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK.

So these guys actually fancy themselves hooligans huh? I'd like to see them play in England and see what happens when/if they show up
